Just read that the ministers of the interior of the German states are
thinking about banning alcohol in German stadiums for 2. Bundesliga
matches next season because of all the high-risk games between the
fans of Dresden, Cottbus, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Rostock, Pauli, Frankfurt
and Braunschweig.

I think it's stupid. Most of the fighting and violence will happen outside
the stadiums anyway so why punish all the peaceful fans as well????

He's a true fan, that Großkreutz kid. I like him, even if he does look a bit like a Neanderthal, taht never stopped anyone from being a great player anyways. :coffee:

Isn't the thing in Germany that the uglier you are, the better player, anyways?

Let's hope Grosskreutz never leaves Dortmund, or we'll have another obsolete tattoo.

Even if he leaves that tattoo won't be obsolete.
He's still a Dortmunder just like Neuer will always be a Schalker.

So do any of you guys know where Vidal is heading to? Italian media is reporting that Juventus are the favourites. What are the German papers saying?

Think he'll either go to Bayern now, or stay for another year at Leverkusen and then leave on a free transfer - to Bayern.

Voeller does not want him at Bayern, though. That is unless Bayern up their half-assed 10m offer. I think they'll break at around 15m.

Vidal wants Bayern, but if they don't cought the dought they will sell him to the highest bidder.

In all honesty... Bayern don't need him.

If Bayern come up with a 15-20m offer, I don't think Voller would be dumb enough to refuse. It's not like Vidal going to Bayern would change the course of the season, Leverkusen still have plenty of quality in the middle.

I don't know if Bayern don't need him. I actually think they could really use Vidal. They could really use a destroyer type DM to partner Schweinsteiger. While Vidal has more to offer, that would be the most important part. Cover defence so Piggy can get forward and distribute.

An obvious alternative would be either Bender twin.

Huh? What about Gustavo? Tymoschuck? We have two quality players who can play that role, but they were overlooked by van Gaal because they're not offensive enough.

I'd rather save those 15m for a better CB or more defensive cover, and wait a season to try to get him for free.

Gustavo is great, and good defensively, but he's rather clean, I'm not saying he can't put in great defensive work, I just think he doesn't intimidate the opposition like Vidal might be able to.

But you make a fair point, I'm not sure that discrepancy is worth 15m Very Happy

Well I certainly remember that Schalke has as much debt as the Bundesliga combined and are in dire need for cash. Yawn.

Also Neuer just plain said he won't leave the Bundesliga. Vidal isn't even German, he might have less issues with just going to Spain or Italy, or even England.

Another point is what the Bayern board want to. From what I'm smelling, they might even try to play Gustavo at CB. Nerlinger's saying we only need 1 CB, and that's just an insane comment to make unless he had a backup.

If Gustavo is going back to CB, then I fully approve of the Vidal transfer because Tymo's getting old. I also approve of the Bender twins idea. A Schweini-Sven combo would be pretty sexy, even more so for the NT. Doubt he'll leave Dortmund, though.

Post by BAYERN_MUNICH Tue Jul 05, 2011 9:01 pm

the fact is:

our board asked Heynckes which transfers they should do (except Neuer, that deal was decided before)

so Heynckes said: get me Rafinha, Boateng and Vidal

our managers did the same with van Gaal. He wanted Pranjic,Braafheid so they bought them

last summer he didn't want any players, so our board presented him some possible transfers. In the end they didn't buy one , because the coach decided so

so Vidal and Boateng are the exclusive wishes from Heynckes, he decides who plays for us so we have to accept that he wants those players.

And Vidal is a big transfer , he will lift our middlefield a step up. I do think that Tymoschtschuk and Gustavo are very good, but Vidal is just better. And why shouldn't we try to get him?
If we don't buy him, we also won't buy another CB because that has nothing to do with Vidal, we would have enough money for both.

Then you have to look a little further and not just to the next season. Tymoschtschuk is 32 and his contract ends after next season, and is not likely to be extended.
So we have Schweinsteiger, Gustavo and Alaba for this position.
Toni Kroos is not planned for the DM, as Heynckes said in an interview today. He plans Kroos as OM/LOM. Kroos also said that he can play DM, but his strength is the offense. Alaba is not ready for the big stage,so Schweinsteiger and Gustavo are just not enough if one gets injured.

I think te deal with Vidal is already fix like with Neuer, I bet Vidal and Bayern already have an agreement. And if Leverkusen don't let him go, then he will play one more year at a top 4 BL club with Championsleague, not bad to wait one year, is it?

I mean , Nerlinger and Heynckes wouldnt say with confident 'if we dont get him this year, he will come next year anyway' if this deal isn't fix.

Intereseting statements to Arturo Vidal today. Once again Rummenigge said Vidal will come, if not this year than next. I mean, when was the last time we said with such a confident that a player will come? Just look how pessimistic his statements are concerning Boateng.
For me the deal is fix. Im sure Vidal must have promised something. Now we have to trust his words.

"Question: In the case of Arturo Vidal, Leverkusen coach Robin Dutt has today stressed again that a change in the Bundesliga did not come into question.

Rummenigge: I thought that Mr. Dutt had there not managers and coaches. I do not know and with this I'm totally relaxed Personnel. We have a wonderful midfield, Schweinsteiger, Gustavo, Tymoschtschuk, Alaba and Pranjic of which are normally used only two. If it is possible at an affordable price, we will do it. If not, then no. This one must have patience and time.

Question: How long?

Rummenigge: 2012
"

My God Götze!!

Anyone else watching St. Gallen - Dortmund? He's just so great to watch, what a player.

Wonder what line-up Dortmund will have next season, with Leitner, Kehl, Kagawa and Perisic their midfield is quite
crowded now.

Kehl is gonna get injured, so that's not a problem, I'm thinking Götze RM and Kagawa CAM, probably, no?

Wonder where Leitner is gonna fit in, but I guess they'll be gunning for:
---------Kehl Bender
Götze Kagawa Großkreutz
---------Barrios?
