Marchisio should have made it 2-0
Giovinco... not what we need.

Re: Juve - Inter gametime thread
i do reckon i am extremely butthurt..because we lost to a team that can get beating by siena and chievo any day...
but we needed the wake up....u cannot score a goal and just fall asleep...
vidal's goal was the worst thing that could happen...
congrats inter...they showed..what we have lost....willing to fight and ambition..
now i must get really drunk

Really liked carrera way better than alessio.. What was up with caceres getting subbed out again?
That was a reaction that was too late. 2-1 down and THEN alessio decided to react and had to bring a forward on.
Key to the game - we needed to win the midfield back.
Marchisio was good only in spells. Vidal went missing entire 2nd half and end of the 1st. we had NO physicality in midfield - I was SCREAMING for Pogba all game because of this. Then bring on Guarin and sure enough, within minutes, they score from midfield.

I think he deserves more credit here. This is only his 3rd? game. He came on when we were essentially being outplayed everywhere. He held the ball up quite well. Pressured the keeper and floated the ball across goal only to find noone at the backpost. The one decent opportunity that came his way, he tried to tee up Giovinco who failed miserably.
Marchisio should have made it 2-0 No
Giovinco... not what we need.
Marchisio faded in and out of the game. That was a good chance yes, but I think his blame for the loss shouldnt be because of the miss. It should be him and Vidal leaving a massive hole in the middle of the park which Pirlo obviously cannot defend.
Im sad to say that despite all his talent - Giovinco's size and lack of strength really is an issue. I think Quags wouldve been better to start with again 3 strong CBs. Giovinco wouldve been ok against 2 CB formation. Weve seen that time and time again. He just doesnt have the strength or physicality.

Re: Juve - Inter gametime thread
I feel that Marchisio was the worst on the field tonight for Juventus.
He missed chances to put Juventus up 2, maybe 3-0 in the first half and he lost his mind and needlessly grabbed Milito's jersey for Inter's penalty.
Vidal hasn't had a good game in weeks, as far as I am concerned he is in Pogba's spot right now.
Giovinco's decision making is so poor that I'm at a loss for words.
With all that being said the credit is all for Inter, they played very well and deserved all three points tonight

Trouble is - apart from Pogba, we dont have anyone to come in to fill in the shoes of the out-of-form players.
We have plenty of options for back line. We have enough players (not necessarily world class or excellent) for the forward spots too (5 players for 2 spots) But whos a genuine started for the midfield apart form Pogba???
In Jan we need a top quality forward. In mind though, we also NEED a top quality midfield starter. We have Marrone I guess - but when was the last time he played in midfield? Im sorry but Giaccherini isnt the level of class we need. (plus hes puny like Gio). As for Padoin, I maintain as i did last season, that hes not Juve material at all - plain and simple.
What happened to Buoy? Appelt? I agree these guys are young but we need the quality numbers. I also feel Pirlo is getting tired.

Line up for Nords, we need Pogba on, we need to hope Mirko is back fit and we need Quags over Giovinco.
I can't believe we don't have a pair of strikers who are definitely capable of dealing with the champions of Denmark.

Re: Juve - Inter gametime thread
I'll just put 2012 on the end.
And it wasn't a simple win either. When Vucinic goes off the pitch so does our forward line.

When we bought Giovinco my reaction was "we wasted 16 mil on a mid-table player". Since then nothing that could have changed my mind happened

Re: Juve - Inter gametime thread
i suppose its easy to criticise players in the wake of a bad loss..
we should let the dust settle, sleep on it although most of the opinions wont change.
We should just get over it. It had to happen at some point.
Better losing against a team like this than against, say, Lecce (no disrespect).
Time to regroup.
