Pretty sure that it's different, sometimes universes are reset or something, like Cyborg being an integral part of the new Justice League. But I know Flash is appearing in Arrow in some episodes, so that opens the door for a lot of the other superheroes with powers, like superman and Green Lantern, even though they are definitely too high profile for a TV Show.

Yeah I'd prefer if they never went overboard with Superpowers.


That's why I loved Nolans Batman. Sure it's not traditional comic book action, but it's believable characters in a more realistic situation, whilst still including a lot of great action scenes.

Well I would love a show with a lot of super heroes and powers, but the CGI would be way too expensive to make it look good enough, that's probably the reason why I want the superheroes to stay at a relatively low level.

Damn Summer Glau is hot.

Watched it all. Killed it in 2 days as it was pretty amazing after the 10th episode of season 1.

They improved it so much from the first few episodes. Everything went up 5 levels. Including the acting. Speaking of which, i think it's more clear that him acting emotionless is actually 'acting' since he has been through hell on that island and we can see that he actually possess different emotions.

Summer Glau Firefly Took me a whole episode to realise that it's her.

On a side note. I am really impressed with the amount of DC characters they have introduced. All fits in as well with the Show ( not so much with the comics )

Green Arrow is a character on his own. Like batman or superman. He is part of the Justice League as well. Ra's Al Ghul is an enemy of basically every DC character. Has been involved with all of them in some way or another. Same with Deathstroke.

Interesting that they mentioned H.I.V.E in the last episode. Because Deathstroke has been a member of that organisation in the comics. IF he is alive in the tv show, maybe he might finally come out as a villain and be a part of it along with deadshot.

Notice that they have not introduced any supernatural element in the show. Black Canary was born with the high echo ultra wave thing and has to scream to use it in the comics/cartoon shows. But they changed that to a device instead.

@RG, I know they haven't introduced superpowers yet, but I don't why they would use Barry Allen as a character if he doesn't have any powers. It would seem a waste of a great character imo. He will probably be the first superhero in the series.

That's what i am waiting for. I really want to see what they do with Flash.

In some comic arcs Flash used a ring that gave him the super speed. They might go with that on Arrow.

Doesn't his ring just contain his Flash outfit? Because he can't use his powers in normal clothes, since the friction would result in him being naked. But they'll probably make some kind of scientific way to make him fast. Not sure what I think about that, when they are going to make a tv-series about him.

Since the announcement in July that The CW was developing a new Flash television series to spin out of Arrow, the question for many fans was who’d be playing DC Comics scarlet speedster. The answer has arrived, as Warner Bros. has announced that Glee and 90210 actor Grant Gustin has been cast as Barry Allen in the upcoming show.

Gustin will first appear as Barry Allen in episodes 208, 210 and 220 of this season’s Arrow, with all three episodes being written by Geoff Johns and Arrow co-creators Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti. Warner Bros. released a character description:

BARRY ALLEN is a Central City assistant police forensic investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fan boy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante.

As previously reported, episode 220 of Arrow will serve as a backdoor pilot for the Flash series. Arrow season two begins on October 9

A question to you guys, do you think this tv-version way of making the less known heroes more popular? I love this way of doing it tbh, even though I think The Flash would be able to carry i profit in a big movie, with the right star playing him.

That's a great point there m99. That will probably what gives him the powers.

I think so yea. Majority don't read comics and are not aware of these characters apart from just knowing they exist. People like deathstroke, Black Canary and deadshot are very well known in the comics but not in the mainstream. Same with Green Arrow to an extent.

They are doing well in this way of introduction.

Yeah I don't read comics so would it be possible for any major potential spoilers from the comics to be put in spoiler tags? Because I'd rather not accidentally read a sentance or two that potentially ruins the expense for the next 20 episodes or so.

Next episode is Flash's debut

A great debut for Barry Allen, but absolutely no indication that he will become the Flash, which is probably not all that innocuous for those unfamiliar with the character from the comics. For those of us who know the character rather well, this is quite promising though the relationship with Felicity is of course, was to be expected.

I'm personally more interested in Slade's transformation. I don't mind that they shifted how he get the super-soldier serum that turns him into Deathstroke, just as long as he still ends up the same badass in the comics.

Was a fantastic episode. They keep getting better and better lol.

Personally though the kid who plays Barry Allen would be more suited as Wally West. But he did quite good in his role.

Don't think he is a regular so they will probably give him his powers soon and make him go away like Black Canary. They hinted at it with that chemical scene.

Also Deathstroke surely going to turn into a villain next episode? Oliver mentioned how he had to fight one of those before. And Deathstroke is supposed to have super human strength
