B.NEWS : TNAS to cut Conte ban

Juventus boss Antonio Conte should today have his touchline suspension reduced by the TNAS appeal court.

The tactician’s lawyers have put their case forward to the tribunal in Rome and a decision is expected on Friday.

Conte is unlikely to be acquitted, but his 10-month ban should be reduced by a number of months – even if it is unclear by how many.

The Gazzetta dello Sport is speculating that the former Bari tactician could be back on the bench for the January 6 tie against Sampdoria.

The Coach is currently banned from match-day duties after he was found guilty of failing to report an alleged attempt to fix a game which he was in charge at Siena.

Massimo Carrera sits on the bench during match-days, but Conte is allowed to continue training the side.

I would be in favor of removing that ban completely.It was a joke of a ban anyway,he should have been banned from all football activities or none.

I agree if he was guilty ( which tbh I doubt its 1 vs 23) he should have been banned from all activities as you said if not he lost few months for nothing

Even it he WAS guilty, a life ban for not reporting a fixed match is nonsense.

OFFICIAL: The TNAs decided to reduce the disqualification of Antonio Conte, Juventus coach. The Juventus coach will officially go on the bench since December 8, 2012.

Juventus boss Antonio Conte will return to the touchline on December 9 after having his 10-month ban slashed.

The tactician was suspended from match-day duties after he was found guilty of failing to report an alleged attempt to fix a game which he was in charge at Siena.

Conte’s lawyers took their case to the TNAS court in a bid to be acquitted of the charge, but they were only able to get a reduction in his punishment.

The former midfielder’s ban will now expire on December 8, which means he will be able to return to the bench for the December 9 tie at Palermo in Week 16.

Conte, who has always maintained his innocence, has been able to continue training the side, but Massimo Carrera has taken over during matches.

The reduction isn’t enough for Conte to make his debut in the Champions League this solar year, as Juventus end the group stage against Shakhtar Donetsk on December 5.

Now Seman(Zeman) is really gonna be pissed....

very important decision for the club and very welcome for our CL campaign, Carrera is doing alright down at the bench but I think its different with Conte standing down there
