Um, I like Pato. He has a great goal scoring ratio in the Serie A, but he needs to gain consistency and fitness. I would hold off on making such a statement. And I dislike it when such comparisons are made. Ronaldo is Ronaldo. And Pato is Pato.

Technically, R9 is at another level compared to Pato and many others... Pato can never become the equal of R9 technically. That's just to start. There' the achievements issue too lol. there's really no comparison to be made here.

He was as in the peak of his career or what he did in his career? It is not so obvious when you compare a retired footballer to an emerging young talent. Pato is 21. Give the lad a break. He will get over this injury prone phase and hopefully turn into what he promises to be.

I find him a completely different player than R9 too.

It's just the whole innane "He is a number 9, and quite promising OH AND BRAZILIAN --> New Ronaldo" comparison people often do.

Good young striker from Cote D'Ivoire? DROGBA.

Great new french midfielder? ZIDANE.


Aside from that though, I do think Pato is very talented, and can maybe be "The new style number 9", but we'll see.
