Hmm.. looks like we are applying for that permit for both him and Miyachi then..

Campbell senior also confirmed Arsenal will be lodging a bid for a special talent work permit, but this may have to wait until after the Under 20 World Cup.
aye i am loving Wenger's business deal so far, last season was a disaster in the transfer window.
All we need to get now is a centre half.

yeah i would like that as well but if it came down to signing centre half or a defensive mid....i'd rather get a centre half.RedEyesWhiteBeard wrote:gunnerlistick wrote:Samuelj29060 wrote:Joel Campbell will have a medical this evening ahead of the completion of his transfer to Arsenal, his father Humberto has confirmed.

I can't see Wenger getting a defensive mid because he will say we have Frimpong and Coquelin who can both play there

Denilson leaving is great news for us, Wenger has to sign a DM now he has no choice. We cant depend on Frimpong and Coquelin as of yet maybe in 2 years time.

Arsenal Youngster Francis Coquelin Set to Secure Second Loan Move to Lorient FC
Highly rated Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is set to complete a consecutive season long loan spell with French outfit Lorient FC. The Frenchman spent the entire 2010/2011 on loan with Les Merlus as part of the £10 million deal that saw Laurent Koscielny join the Gunners'.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign, amassing 25 appearances and one goal. Coquelin emerged as a consistent presence whose versatility was invaluable as he played all across the midfield and even at right back. However after failing to make Wenger's 23-man squad to tour Asia for Arsenal pre-season tour due to talks with Lorient, the France U-20 star, who will play in the upcoming U-20 World Cup, is expected to announce his signing shortly.
Lorient FC manager Christian Gourcuff is eager to complete the move as he is a big fan of the youngster.
"All that is left is to try and settle the case of Francis Coquelin. He would love to come but it depends on the choice of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. We are not in a hurry and we are prepared to be patient with this."

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Is Coquelin back yet from U20 WC? I rate him higher than Frimpong so I really want him to break through as the back up DM. He shut out Hazard with ease and had a very impressive performance against Marseille whereas Frimpong hasn't proved himself at the top yet, just a few impressive preseason performances. From the Wenger point of view, I don't think a DM will be signed at least until January, however I'd like M'Vila or someone rotating with Song.

The U20 World Cup hasn't started yet. It starts at the end of the month.
Miquel, Coquelin and now Campbell. Will be worth a watch, especially since Spain and Costa Rica are in the same group (I think).
Personally, I would have kept Coquelin and sent Frimpong out on loan but I guess with the U20 World Cup Coquelin will miss the whole of pre-season and the start of the season proper. Either way, another spell at Lorient couldn't hurt.

My bad
It will be interesting to see how Le Coq gets on, when does it start?
I wouldn't mind 6 months for Coquelin on loan and then he returns once Song is away, and if Ghana want Frimpong we could loan another DM.

Denílson will soon complete his loan to São Paulo. Arsenal will receive €400,000 as a fee. São Paulo have the option to buy for €6,000,000. Nothing on his wages as of yet.
We're apparently interesting in one of São Paulo's players: Bruno Uvini, a centre back who captains the Brazil U20 side. We let Denílson go to São Paulo instead of Fluminese for this reason, according to @BrazilGunners.
Joel Campbell has received offers from Manchester United and Dynamo Kyiv and will wait until after the U20 World Cup to make a decision on who he'll join.
