Your prefered Chelsea XI?
Mine would be:
I honestly can't pick our starting two CB's. Obviously Terry Deserves a spot with Luiz his favoured partner but I quite like the Cahiluiz partnership.
*Lampard should be a starter and remain a starter untill Ramires proves himself in the Pivot.
#Ramires should remaining starting RW untill Moses or Marin prove themselves there as well.
I know you guys are gonna disagree, so lets here it.
Cech
Ivanoivc Luiz/Terry/Cahill Cole
Mikel Lampard*
Ramires# Mata Hazard
Torres

Hilario*
Azpi Luiz Terry Cole
Mikel Ramires
Moses Mata Hazard
Sturridge
Azpi Luiz Terry Cole
Mikel Ramires
Moses Mata Hazard
Sturridge
*I'm kidding
Comparing with you Kick:
1) I have a feeling that Azpi would be a better choice at RB than Ivanovic. I haven't seen him play but here's hoping he will.
2) Mikel & Lampard are slow down the game too much. Even on the counter Luiz can run to the box faster than Lamps so putting Ramires there while Mikel providing stability is ideal IMO
3) Moses is strong, and also have a powerful shot. His link up play on his debut looked promising and the trio I mentioned would be awesome.
4) Mata should be rotated with Oscar
5) As much as I want Torres to succeed, an unselfish Sturridge (it's not a mythical creature I swear) as shown in the last 10 minutes against QPR would be a much better option. Sturridge doesn't depend on others as much as Torres and finds space for himself more often. If he can cuts down his ambitious long shots, control his urges and tap in instead of backheel an open net, and improve his goal celebration, he should be starting IMO
If Torres keeps on starting and not performing while Sturridge stays on the bench, I won't be surprised if Danny leaves in the summer

Re: Your prefered Chelsea XI?
Azpilicueta is yet to play, he has to prove himself before he becomes a starter. Ivanovic > Azpilicueta untill then.
Oscar isn't ready, if he was RDM would play him. I would only Rotate Oscar with Mata as long as Mata plays most games, that being said, I would have started Oscar yesterday.
I disagree with Sturridge, one bad game and everyone is biting Torres' head off, yes he was poor, yes he stormed off when he shouldn't have but before that he was on fine form. Also, Sturridge kept wandering from CF which made it even harder for us to break through as we have no CF ocupying their CB's. I still believe Torres is the man for the job. Sturridge would do a lot better if we have a Lukaku/Drogba in the team he could play off.

honestly its too hard to tell, im not going to say wnything untill i see:
-Struidge start at CF (or even on the wing ffs)
-Oscar, Hazard and Mata stat simulataneously
-Moses and Marin get some decent game time
-Azpzingsngsngosksjngsk (ill learnt to spell it eventually) gets some game time

I disagree with this, when Sturidge dropped back into the midfield he dragged the CBs with him and opened up a bit of room behind him for Moses and Hazard as weel as eliminating a target for us to hoof to.
I think if we've got wingers like Marin and Moses who are able to shoot as well as play a low ball into the are on the park then having sturidge drop back and open that space for Hazard/Mata to play the balls behind the line for them to run onto, and when youve got Lampard arrving late into the box (an element of our game which the hoofing killed) youve got even more of a threat
So far this season i think we've looked most dangerous when Hazard, Mata and Cole were getting to the byline and sending in low crosses just infront of the six yard box or cutting back to the edge of the box

I never thought of it like this, you have a point. Would be an interesting tactic over 90 minutes.

Re: Your prefered Chelsea XI?
I think some people still don't realise that playing Mata on the wing is suicide. That leaves your FB all alone and open to attacks from the opposing winger & FB because Mata couldn't defend for shoite

Mata has almost played his whole career out wide, and no suicide has been committed.

Cech
Ivanovic - Luiz - Cahill - Cole
Mikel - Romeu
Moses - Mata - Hazard
Torres
Swapping out Ivan/Torres for Azpi/Sturridge depending on form.
Mata for Oscar aswell against some teams, Oscar is much faster which can be a great asset.

He's been awful so far this season and has had no discipline, they need to show that without form aplayer like him can be dropped.. With the attacking 4 not doing much defending i'd prefer 2 defensive minded players in the pivot.

he has been dismissed in a court of law, the FA would be stupid to try overturn it.

I'm fairly sure he will, but I guess we'll see. Either way those 3 should interchange at CB.

I agree, Cahill is too good to sit on the bench.

I actually see the logic in the line up, similar to which Capello set up Madrid that season he won La Liga with two DM's to plug the midfield and let the guys infront do what ever they want. I personally would have Torres ahead of Danny, but that change isn't such a huge thing for me as I feel Danny would score as well. I think the attacking midfield 3 should have license to roam (especially Mata & Hazard) with Oscar dropping deep like he does with Brazil to collect the ball and start attacks.
I think the width should come from the full backs, with neither Romeu or Mikel ever wandering too far ahead of the half way line, although if needs be Romeu could push up further a bit to recycle any loose balls that might drop.

Everyone knows how much I like Romeu & I like this formation as well, I prefer Moses to Rambo on the right all day long personally. Azpil can also start for me if we have Mikel and Romeu in the side, it is a massive shame that Rambo has to be left out but if we continue with 4-2-3-1 then its going to be the case until he improves his first touch and passing.

Re: Your prefered Chelsea XI?
How about a mix of 4-3-2-1 and 4-2-3-1?
When defending (4-3-2-1):
When attacking (4-2-3-1):
Fullbacks have to be very attacking to create width and Ramires/Oscar have to defend AND attack (box-to-box). While I'm sure that Ramires can do this job I'm still sceptic over Oscar.
The christmas tree formation is known to be a very balanced formation and Chelsea could use it with the creative 'HazMatOscar' trio.
