and pirlo scored 3 in 7 matches this season, all from free kicks...

Ronaldo is still the best from long range IMO. From 30-35m he can be deadly.

Yes, Ibra has scored, including yesterday, 3 freekicks in last four seasons, the same as Messi in last 10 games. Hardly a comparison. And I thought this was about freekicks, not long shots?

Does anyone know how many free kicks Leighton Baines has scored? honestly he seems like one of the best specialists around to me

Really? He scored 78 goals from free kicks in official games I read on wiki. I know Maradona scored a lot but close to 78?

Im afraid I don't know how many he scored. I know he scored throughout his career, right from a young age, which is the secret to scoring lots of free kicks, you have to be consistent throughout your career and maradona was, even since a teenager, so its not difficult to believe that he had something similar to 78. In 1988, if i recall correctly maradona scored 14 free kicks in that year alone for club and country, though i don't remember for absolute sure now

Schweinsteiger has been awesome at them since last season. Scored a few and he's always close even when he misses. Hit the bar and post quite a few times.
