It was his first offense, was just late, no malace involved and he apologised as soon as he got up.

He could have left it alone and then could have kept Delany on too.

You're trying to conflate the two having realised you were wrong in your original post.

As for the disconnect, since they each ended differently, the question is should Welbeck have been sent off, or Azpi not. Anyone not wearing blue-tinted specs (or trying to cover for their own misjudging of the incident) will know it's very much the former.

Again, that's not the debate. Stop deflecting (believe me, it's working more against you than for you). Yes, I too would have been only too happily silent about Wellshite going unpunished for it if it meant Dave were to as well in the next matchday, but the question is that if you thought, just 2 weeks ago, that the former's was a sending-off, why are you so unwilling to accept that the latter's was as well.
