Newcastle: A new offer for Debuchy

Newcastle intends to submit a new offer for Mathieu Debuchy, the Lille right-back, who could be sacrificed in case of non-qualification for the group stage of the Champions League.

As we reported previously, Newcastle is poised to make a new proposal of around 7.5 million euros for Mathieu Debuchy (27), the right-back of Lille, whose contract expires in June 2015. Having rejected the first two offers from the Magpies, the club president Michel Seydoux could make concessions in case of non-qualification for the group stage of the Champions League. The French international has already agreed to join the club led by Alan Pardew. While Maicon is in talks with Real Madrid and Manchester City, Inter Milan are also keeping an eye on the issue.

To compensate for a possible departure of Debuchy, Lille are considering Gregory van der Wiel (the 24 year old from Ajax Amsterdam) and Anthony Réveillère (32 year old at Lyon). However, both seem out of reach in terms of wages.

Those players need to be moved on to gain experience or with a view to a permanent move. They can do more harm than good sticking around. It may even open up wages/funds for use during January, if they have a need.

Just yesterday according to Daily Mail Mancini apparently issued an ultimatum to the City board to sign a new striker before the window closes.

But Fiorentina dont want to sell him,Jovetic should force the issue in this case if he wants to be sold.

I really don't think he'll play for any other team in Serie A. The only teams in La Liga suitable for him (Madrid & Barca) are already bolstered with top class attackers. That leaves only the PL. But I much rather he joined Juve if it isn't Liverpool.

Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Marin, Benayoun, Malouda all naturally play there and then we have Ramires, Meireles, Bertrand, Sturridge and Lampard too.

Its not the question of him joining another Serie A team.If Juve are willing to pay €30m for him he would join us in a heartbeat not to mention he will be linking up with his NT teammate as well.The important point is no Serie A side are willing to pay that much for him.But if he stays at Viola for another season ,things could definitely change from a Juventus perspective come next season keeping the transfer budget in mind.I mean we have already spent €50m this season which is why i dont think we have ready €30m to spend on him.

Jovetic is a very loyal guy and loves Viola deeply. I remember back in 2009 when we were interested in him, I read somewhere that if he ever left, it would be outside of Italy. I personally am praying for him to stay at least another year at Fiorentina, just so we can get in a better position to sign him. Next summer we'd have a better budget to work with as we've already spent most, if not all, of our budget this summer.
