Gianluigi Buffon will miss Juventus-Parma on Saturday after he was diagnosed with a thigh problem.

The goalkeeper has been struggling with the muscular twinge over the last few weeks and also missed last weekend’s Trofeo Berlusconi against Milan.

He has now been diagnosed with the extension of a muscle in his right thigh, announced the official club website.

It is not thought to be a serious injury, but it is enough to rule him out of Saturday’s Serie A opener against Parma.

Honestly, Storari hasnt been impressive at all throughout preseason, as well as the Coppa Italia final loss being partially his fault, so i say give Nicola Leali a chance.

i'd have to disagree w/ that. first, he's made some great saves in preseason. second, although he made a mistake in the coppa final, one mistake should not send a player to the bottom of the pecking order.

they won't start leali. new young signing, way too risky of a proposition for an italian club

Wow that sucks. Leali would be an excsllent thurd choice keeper in my opinion.

And i dont think Storari should be lowsr in the pecking odder than Leali, i just think Leali should be given a chance. Storari also made a big mistake in the supercoppa that resulted in Milans opening goal. I think Storari should maybe be given a break, some time to get back ti his best, and let Leali take iver just for this game. With Leali being loaned out though, i guess theres no choice but to start Storari.
