Appreciation Thread

Well, I am having a particularly slow day at work and made a few observations. As of the moment I write this, the following are the statistics from our forum:

Doesn't mean much to be honest, and I know that. But I feel that it is probably an indication of a few things which are worth praising:

* We are very well represented in the GL community, despite a long trophy drought - which is possibly an indicator of our loyalty and solidarity as gooners.
* We have a lot of active posters who contribute on our topics in the Arsenal section.
* We have a much better ratio of average number of posts per topic - which can mean that we have a well organized and structured forum (lesser number of topics) with lots of contribution to most topics (average of 60,82 posts per topic).

Ofcourse, it all means nothing much as statistics are very misleading and I can point out many flaws and assumptions in my above comments too.

But from a glass half full point of view, I want to say that the above points aren't too far off the mark in my observations and I wish to raise a toast to the GL Gooner community here. You guys make it very enjoyable and I thank you for that.

Also, special mention to guys who took up voluntary roles over the last year, with videos, pre-match and live threads, post-match threads, the transfer threads, prediction game, injury updates, youth and reserves,..... Its been a great year of Arsenal GL.

Im still not sure how Juve has about 4 times as many topics as the second most on this forum, but oh well.

We are still one of the largest fanbases on here

Stop lurking and start contributing more then!

I am sure many of us started as lurkers. I was lurking in goal.com forums for almost a year before I decided to start contributing bit by bit. I only became really active after we moved to GL.

One of my classmates became a man u fan because the chicks dig man u

Best was when i was talking to this one chick and she told me she was a brazil fan. I asked her to name five players.

She says " ronnalldo, rivvalldoo, ronaldinhooo, that fat little guy on the le..- oh yea carlos and david beckham. "
