Shame? A knocking down a peg or 10 is exactly what this kid needs. He's nowhere near as brilliant or as important as he fancies himself.
True. He had so much promise. He really needs a good wake up call if he wants to truly ignite his career. I wouldn't be surprised if he left Chelsea. If somehow he can manage to control his attitude I'm sure he'll reach his true potential one day

Think his ego might need a trip to hospital after that kind of beating.
Lukaku subbed off AGAIN in the 57th minute after another horrible performance; and to make things even worse, the 19-year-old kid who came on for him scores the winner.

Lukaku isn't the problem for Belgium's attack, it's the manager for not telling them to play quicker. What can Lukaku do but stand with his back towards the goal between the CBs when Belgium slow down each and every of their attacks? Belgium have created very few chances in two games now and it's down to poor tactics.

Zero touches in the opponent's box in almost 120 minutes and it's the manager's fault. Hilarious really.

Wait, were your attempting to be hilarious, but actually proving the latter point in your poor attempt at hilarity. That is Jedi shit

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
Honestly it can't be on lukaku, the whole Belgium team were playing like the game was a friendly, with very slow pace. They were giving Russia too much space, and were quite literally very boring to watch until the last half hr. That being said, lukaku couldn't make any sort of impact, he fails to get into good positions.

I'm seriously beginning to dislike this guy, if the price tag is £40M I'll be happy to pack his bags.

Lukaku dropped for tonight's R16 game against US for 19-year-old Divock Origi. Snigger.

Well deserved, but to be honest I really don't think he will learn his lesson.
He will probably score a few goals vs Aston Villa, Sunderland and Derby then he will think he's god again.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
45 minutes gone and Origi has done nothing, either, in this Belgium attack, what a surprise, but surely the striker is their problem

I'm convinced that the Belgian Heskey is the 3rd best striker from that country, Origi is a better player for me.

Not sure if you are stupid or trolling, I will go for the benefit of the doubt and say the latter.
Congrats to the physically superior Heskey for coming on after missing the game before fresh as a daisy at extra time vs defenders who were completely broken.
WELL DONE LULU you absolute BOSS, that cutback was superb btw totally planned it.
Feed the ego.

He came on and within minutes, changed the game.
Sure it was late but you guys were making out that he couldn't do anything.
Origi did nothing all game, Lukaku won Belgium the game, huge difference.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
How did he do nothing all game, he contributed to the play really well. Looked dangerous everytime and hit the cross bar.
Well done to Lulu for scoring a goal vs tired legs, no one is making out he can't do anything.
He is the Belgian Heskey who is well superior to most footballers physically and he made that tell, props to him.
However he won't get that medal from me which he will no doubt think he deserves after his performance tonight.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
He made the difference and deserves credit for that, but let's not act like it was some brilliant critic-quashing feat. He came on after 90 minutes going into ET, and against a, let's face it, pretty limited side who had just been defending for much of the match. That that's the highlight of his tournament so far is far more telling of his performance in it up to this point than anything he did today.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
Ah yes, looked dangerous by only getting near one cross all game.
Belgian Heskey is an insult, tbh. Lukaku is a fantastic player and if he could just improve his technique, he'd be top class.

Re: The Fridge Full of Cash - Romelu Lukaku
To put it bluntly your football knowledge isn't the best so let's not go there. If you can't watch a game and think that Origi this game for 90 minutes, had significantly more impact than Lukaku over the first 2 games. Generally played well then I really can't be arsed talking to you and your bias views.
Getting near one cross = not hitting the crossbar? I don't get what your trying to say. He had a few shots today yes his finishing wasn't brilliant, but hey guess what. 2 GAMES Lukaku failed to hit a shot on target.
If Gervinho could improve his decision making skills he would be top class, if Ramires could improve his technique he would be world class. Blah blah blah, we all know what Lukaku is about so let's not kid ourselves. He's got a lot of potential but if you can't admit his physicality is his main asset I don't know what to say, he is far from a fantastic player.
