Wow didn't see this one coming.... I think with the introduction of Eto'o, lukaku is the 4th striker, and we only play with one striker unlike united or city, still I am a bit sad, maybe mou and club sees that he won't be getting enough playing time as initially thought.

Imagine what this says to all the club's other youth players as well. You're basically telling them you can go on loan, work your ass off, become one of the best young players in the League in your position, far, far, far out-perform anyone at your parent club in your position, and you'll STILL be carted out on another loan to some miscellaneous club you're 5 times too good for the following season.

Travesty of a decision.

Except that he's the best of the lot....

True no doubt he is destined to be great, but it is World Cup year, and lukaku probably wants to play a starting role. It will always be experience over wishful thinking, I think had he not missed that penalty things would've been a bit different. But we shouldn't be sad about this, he will get regular playing time and probably starting games and go to the World Cup with good experience, he'll be better equipped after next summer.
