Messi. Although, I think we can all agree if you were to drop Messi in a top premier league team there is no way he would have outscored both Rooney and RvP combined.
I tend to disagree. If Messi played for city or something, I dont see why we can say ITS IMPOSSIBLE.
Afterall Aguero banged in 30 goals in 48 games in his first season in the EPL and he is the poor man's Messi. (I know his owners are rich, LOL).

Re: SAF says United has best Strike force in Europe????
He is a poor man's Messi I agree. But not poor enough to score 43 less goals in one season.
I reckon Messi would have probably ended up around the high 40/low 50 goal range.

EPL is an open league... i m convinced messi would have scored still that much, but he needs xavi and iniesta in EPL as well...

TBF, it would be exremely special for messi to do that , so I agree with u.
But it will be interesting to see how the strikeforce works together.
If it works anything like the ........henry........Eto'o.....messi.....patnership then Man U fans are in for a treat!!! I dont how they will line up tho with these two?

We don't even have the best strike force in our league. But we aren't far off.

I think all the teams mentioned in the OP are about the same level...
I wouldn't feel comfortable naming one as the "best"
All have certain strengths and weaknesses

Seriously though, I thing Real still has the edge on everyone, followed very closely by City and Barca. RVP, Valencia, and Rooney have the potential to link up explosively, but one can't say anything until Van Persie and Rooney play together.

Re: SAF says United has best Strike force in Europe????
The problem is thatwuth that squad is how are United going to line up with players such as Rooney, RvP, Kagawa, Nani even Valencia all probably deserving a first team spot. It won't be easy keeping them all happy and one of Valencia/Nani could end up leaving.
Rooney and RvP will be guaranteed a spot. Which means if United play with Wide men for example in a 4-4-2 then Kagawa or Rooney has no place.

Re: SAF says United has best Strike force in Europe????
rvp got something like 40% of arsenal's goals, do you really think he will be able to score the same amount of goals?
i dont. i think both rooney's and rvp's goaly tally will decrease considering they will be sharing the goals next season.

Yea, because RVP just put on an absolute show at the Euros.
We'll see.

Benzema has been ruined. Was hoping he'd become the next Henry instead he's playing for DM these days.
Guy was just embarrassing at the Euros, Cabaye was playing further forward than him in most games lol.
RVP is better sadly.

2 assists > 1 goal....especially in that embarrassment of a France team without people making runs.
That's all I got's to say.

Well the Euros is the only thing he could possibly be referencing by changing the name to "Flopzema"
So I suppose you misunderstood my post I don't care what he did at the Euros.

Well at the very least they could've made some decent through balls (he was the best on the team at that) or when they're on the wings they can know their teammate and pull it back to the edge of the box instead of flashing it accross the goal or sending in a useless cross.
Or maybe the coach can know that he plays best as a foil to another forward and not as an isolated lone targetman.
But I suppose that's asking too much.
