Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 7
Chelsea offer €35m for Cavani according to Gazzetta Dello Sport but its still far from the €50m requested by De Laurentiis.

I doubt we made a bid for Cavani, we seem to be pretty content with Torres, Sturridge.
I could see us buying a cheaper back up though.

De Rossi: Yes or no to Man City?
There are conflicting reports in Italy as to whether or not Daniele De Rossi and Roma are willing to accept Manchester City’s £35m offer.
Several newspapers suggested the midfielder was not eager to join Mario Balotelli at Eastlands and would reject the transfer worth €55m.
This morning La Gazzetta dello Sport claims De Rossi has already given the all-clear to the move, which would almost double his current €6m per season wages on a four-year contract.
It is reported that manager Roberto Mancini made a personal phone call to De Rossi in order to sell him on the switch to the Premier League.
On the other hand, Il Messaggero maintains the ‘Future Captain’ is not interested in Manchester and would prefer to join a club from London, Madrid or Paris if he really did have to leave his hometown.
Agent Sergio Berti was in Manchester this week, though it’s not clear if he was there to discuss De Rossi or his other client Aleksandar Kolarov.
Roma director Walter Sabatini was adamant the World Cup winner is “worth €100m,” but the club has already sold or loaned out 43 different players this summer.
The fans are expected to stage a protest this evening at the Stadio Olimpico when Roma play their first home game of the season, a friendly against Aris Salonika.

Don't be stupid, 25m is a lot money on 2 unproven players it clearly shows you are not exactly strapped for cash.

El Mundo Deportivo claim we've raised the offer for Llorente to €18m but it still falls way short of the €36m(Buyout Clause) they are demanding.
Pretty sure they'll reach a compromise in the next few days anyways. It would be stupid to lose him out for free plus there isnt any concrete interest from other clubs to raise an auction for him.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 7
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted that he could make one more signing before the transfer window closes.
Ferguson had indicated at the unveiling of Robin van Persie on Friday that the Dutchman's arrival from Arsenal was likely to be the last bit of business this summer.
However, Ferguson has revealed he is confident he would get the backing of the club's owners, the Glazers, if he wanted to make another foray in the transfer market.
"I think that is maybe it [in terms of signings this summer]," Ferguson told MUTV. "Maybe in one other position.
"We have spent a big amount of money and, if I need to go to the owners, I am sure they would say 'yes'. But it's only if a certain player would become available."
Ferguson revealed earlier this summer he could be in the market for a new left-back with United short of cover and he has been linked with a move for Everton's Leighton Baines.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 7
Bologna have reportedly set the price-tag for Southampton to sign Gaston Ramirez - €15m in two instalments.
The Uruguayan declared there were “just details” separating him from the Saints this week, but that was quickly quashed by the furious reaction of his club.
According to Il Resto del Carlino newspaper, Southampton rang up Bologna President Albano Guaraldi over the weekend and offered to start from scratch.
The initial offer was considered to be insufficient, especially as it involved being paid over several instalments.
However, it now seems as if Bologna are willing to accept the spread of payments if they receive €10m upfront and a further €5m within a year.
This would only be to pay for the Rossoblu’s portion of the player’s contract, so not including the 30 per cent owned by Penarol or his agent’s commission.

Any news on Dzeko to Juve/AC Milan?etc. I'd seen more and more on twitter the last few days, but it's been somewhat unfocused. I just can't see him having a future under Mancini if Tevez, Aguero and Balotelli stay. The only thing going for him at the Ethiads is that he offers an aerial presence that none of the others can match. He's a good change-of-pace player for Mancini, but is he happy with that role?

Arsenal close to completing Sahin deal. Season-long loan with view to permanent. Confirmation likely early next week. Loan fee 2m
Buy fee would be around £6m but that seems low because we will be playing 2m Loan fee and 5m in wages so in total it will cost us 13m if we buy in the end
