I heard they were looking at 'young' French RB..Not sure
Would make sense tbh, Jallet is good but he's late 20s.
Wouldn't surprise me to see them sign Corchia....

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 7
CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda says he is no longer interested in joining Serie A club Lazio and would turn down any approach.
The Japan international was close to joining the Biancocelesti in January but the transfer collapsed.
Honda now claims he no longer wants to sign for the Italian side, even if they come knocking before the end of the transfer window.
"Right now I can't say anything about a transfer. But in considering what I want in my future, the image I had at 20 is different from the one I have at 26. My end goal hasn't changed. All I can say is that even if Lazio approached me, I wouldn't go," said Honda.
"Back then [during the January transfer window], Lazio had a shot at qualifying for the Champions League. But they did not get there.
"In the first half of the year I was 25, now I'm 26. A lot changes in half a year."

I think their quota of foreign players is full so that's why they are looking to sign a french right back.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 7
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that they made an approach for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez earlier this summer.
City have been linked with a dynamic midfielder and Martinez is one of the players whose names were mentioned in the press.
The Spain international is rated as one of the most complete midfielders in Europe and Athletic Bilbao are willing to let him go for £31million.
Bayern Munich are now set to pay Bilbao that sum to recruit the 23-year-old, but Mancini claims that City too were in the running for the player.
"We talked about Martinez with his club but it isn't easy an easy situation because there are three or four top clubs who want him," the Italian is quoted as saying in The Independent.
"Sometimes it isn't enough to have the money to spend. When there are other top teams after a player, it is difficult."

Bow down City, when Bayern want a player you better stay clear son, like you did when we wanted Boateng. I like City, the know who their masters are.

"The news about Nani is true," Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti said on Friday.
"Everything will depend on how much players cost because we won’t pay excessive amounts of money."
When asked whether Zenit had made a bid, he said: “I’m not talking about an offer to a particular player, but an offer to a club."
"If the club won’t sell a player, then there’s no thought of making an offer to the player himself."

And asked after the defeat whether he is ready to sign a striker with the money from the sale of Modric, the former Chelsea manager told ESPN: "We have been very, very active looking for different solutions. For one reason or another, it has not happened so far.
"But we are confident we can close it down in the next couple of days. If that is the case he (Levy) will further strengthen the squad with what we are looking for."
Negotiations
Modric, who could also be a target of Chelsea, may yet move to Real on Sunday and talks are continuing between the Primera Liga club and Levy.
Asked if the Croatia international will depart this weekend, Villas-Boas said: "Negotiations are ongoing so it could happen."

Eh? You bought Boateng off us.
For a couple more million that we paid Hamburg twelve months earlier.

Sky Sports understands Kevin Mirallas is optimistic he will agree a deal with Everton after arriving on Merseyside in the hope of finalising a move to Goodison Park.

Sunderland are on the verge of signing Manchester City outcast Adam Johnson for a fee that could eventually rise to £11 million.

Apparently Assaidi was 2nd choice for Liverpool, first being Afellay on loan. However he didn't want to go to Liverpool.

That Sunderland link is from Lol.com btw.
In anycase the only bigger side who he would improve and realistically start other than Sunderland is Liverpool
No one in the top 6 needs him and the majority are too good for him.

Ben Arfa has more ability in his small toe than Johnson has in his whole entire body.
Also what Jay said.

Funny how the English National Team doesnt do shite, and yet they usually manage to sell there players for crazy coin. Surprised Liverpool didn't land him for a cool 20M while they were at it

We probably would have, but we're stripped for cash at the moment.

You don't seem to be grasping the point

25m on 2 players is hardly strapped for cash

Well unless the club want bargains, then a top players costs a lot. And maybe it's after those 2 transfers.

No no no, Mole is right, we've got all the money in the world. The only thing that keeps us from bidding 200m for Messi is that Rodgers doesn't rate him, really.

Chelsea offer €35m for Cavani according to Gazzetta Dello Sport but its still far from the €50m requested by De Laurentiis.
