Conte handed 10 month ban, Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe both acquitted
10 months is a long time, even if he still can train the team, should Juventus look for a new coach?

cant stress enough how big a load a bullshit that decision is !!
italy justuce system is *bleep*, taking one guilty persons words over 23 innocent players and coach, if the coach is guilty then so should the rest of the players as they obviously lied as well according to the court.
just doesnt make sense but whats done is done i guess.
one struggle after another for juve and us fans.
ahh well hopefully conte and the team can still do well and stick it to the FIGC !!

it's amazing how a person who "failed to report a matchfix" is punished more than those who directly involved...

Club statement
Following the verdicts given by the FIGC's disciplinary committee regarding the involvement of Juventus employees in incidents while at other clubs, Juventus Football Club is extremely satisfied with the acquittal of footballers Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe. Furthermore, the club underlines its full support for Antonio Conte and Angelo Alessio, in the hope that their innocence will emerge during the appeals process.
The coaches' legal team, comprising professionals chosen by the interested parties themselves in complete agreement with the club, is already drawing up the grounds for appeal, in the firm belief that the coaches had no involvement in the matter. Antonio Conte and Angelo Alessio will be assisted by lawyers Antonio De Rensis and Luigi Chiappero, and additionally by Giulia Bongiorno.

First of all, what nonesense.
Second, there is no need to use words like "scum", not at all. Their fans are obviously going to take offence to that. Cut it out.

Funny how that if (big IF) it's true that he is guilty , he will be guilty of literally doing nothing.

The Italian legal system is in cahoots with FIGC and quite honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Obama, Blatter, Platini, Abete, Ban Ki-Moon, and of course Moratti were all in this together with the sole purpose of framing Conte and Bonucci for crimes that did not exist. In fact all of these dastardly people are so set on framing Conte and Bonucci that the perpetrators decided to involve like 10 other clubs and a bunch of other people who didn't do anything at all in the scandal, just so that it wouldn't look suspicious that they were only charging two people who were connected to Juve. Im not sure what the motive would be for any of these groups or individuals to frame these people for things they didn't do, but thats not important, whats important is that they are clearly being set up.

Omission to tell the authorities about a crime is still a crime.

You wouldn't try to take a plea bargain unless you had some level of guilt. Justified, IMO.
But then I haven't been following this as closely as most, so my opinion is pretty much worthless. What happens now? Is he banned from any activities or just banned from touchline/press conferences, and still gets to train the team etc?

He took the plea bargain only on the condition that it wouldnt be an admission of guilt. It was rejected in the end anyways ,just to make it clear for some people who havent followed it closely.
Antonio Conte was talked into accepting a plea bargain by his lawyers, one that made it very clear this was not an admission of guilt when charged with failing to alert authorities to an attempted sporting fraud. When that was rejected by the Disciplinary Commission, the Coach decided to take a stand.
Some of you will say, but Conte accepted a plea bargain, so isn’t that an admission of guilt? Not in Italy it isn’t. The justice system is insanely long – so that we are still seeing rulings made on Calciopoli six years later in numerous courts of appeal. It has become a tacit agreement that it suits all parties to just work out a plea bargain and get it over with, saving everyone time and money. This is especially true in the civil courts, where the vast majority of people handed prison sentences don’t ever sit behind bars. Again, this was thanks to a law passed because there was not enough space in the jails. As I said, it is a very strange system in Italy.
From a Football-Italia article by Susy Campanale who isnt a Juventus Fan btw.
