Juve shirt numbers: 10 unassigned

As expected, nobody in the Juventus squad has been given Alessandro Del Piero’s old Number 10 jersey, as the squad list was announced.

There was a great deal of speculation over who would inherit the 10 left by Del Piero, who ended his 19-year spell in Turin this summer.

Nobody has been assigned the legendary 10, although it could be held back for the ‘top player’ who is yet to be signed.

Sebastian Giovinco was the prime candidate for Del Piero’s jersey, but has instead taken the more unusual 12.

Don't understand this tbh. Platini relinquished the shirt, Baggio did as well. Really f*cks me off tbh. Give it to Gio.

I have always viewed the number 10 as a position rather than a shirt you give to your best attacker. It should go to the seconda punta or creative forward which despite what Gio said this week, he is going to be for us this year.

What people seem to not realize....Del Piero was the FIRST number 10 to have his name in his Jersey...
So yea, the number 10 is a big deal & only a play worthy should get it...
On the other hand, Giovinco should've taken 9,Vucinic 11 & De Ceglie 12...
I don't know why Isla is in 33, probably should've taken 17
