How highly do you rate Arturo 'King' Vidal?

And btw,was he beasting since the first day he joined Leverkusen ? 2007 was when he joined them AFAIR.

I wonder what is Hans thoughts on this since Bayern fans are supposedly "more grounded and less plastic" than other big club fan bases. Personally speaking, not surprised by the remarks. Never thought he was that much of a ball handler (basically, thought his technical level was just above average considering his reputation) and Pep needs his midfield to be of a high level of skill.

To the incredibly sensitive Juve fans and there quite a bit of u hiding in ur own section, not saying he is a bad player, he actually is pretty good. Just never thought he was a Pep player. Alas, time is longer than twine so who knows. Next manager might give those said fans a different tune to sing.

Well to be fair,some do think Carlo will utilize him better which i agree with.

He was fantastic already for Leverkusen, absolutely.

He's been thoroughly mediocre for us so far. Couple of good games, couple of bad ones, mostly nothing special.

Together with Alonso and Martinez, he formed a midfield horrorshow of sluggishness quite some times lol.

Honestly though, I think probably most Chilean NT players after last summer had a bit of a weak season first half.
Guess he was basically tired all the time.

I'll wait and see how he will be doing now after the winter break and next season.

Vidal wont be the same player like he was in prime yrs.

I'd like to think we got the better end of the deal tbh.

Better hope that is the 2nd leg since you never know. Might make a rash challenge in the box, yellow, pen and 4-2. Then might make another rash challenge, red, down to ten men and Giroud who did nothing all match pops in to make it 4-3 from fk all.

Vidal is a disciplined fouler.

I.e.he fouls like a maniac UNTIL he sees yellow, not after.

Don't think he has seen nearly as many yellow-reds in his career as his reputation would make you believe.

Vidal is never going to fit a Pep team imo. He's not a technically gifted possession orientated player. The best he can do in a Pep team is a 'job'. Something like Keita did at Barca, just come on and solidify the midfield.

Vidal would a suit a more tactical team who don't rely on flashy players and are happy to just go out and do a job. Bayern are certainly not that.

Idk about Hans but the whole bit with the entire post is the only small bit that I don't understand

'More' in the sense that they aren't necessarily tactically superior to Pep, but that they would suit the sort of team I described above and like to call 'tactical'.

I actually get what you're saying, that he's more a well rounded athlete, the type of player that would fit into an Atletico Madrid type team.

It's not true though, he showed with Chile under Sampaoli he's perfectly capable of playing under a style similar to Pep.

Let's take a moment here, so that everyone can register the fact that Vidal has had multiple MOTM performances since 2016 started.

Always been a fan, hoped Barca would pick him up. Would have been good to have him today in the midfeidl to help against Atletico' thuggery and take a shot from outside the box imo
