Re: 2012 Summer Olympics
Del Potro won a place amongst the last 4, and will now face Federer in his weakest surface :/

really proud moment there ... knew Uchimura will deliver us gold!!!
yeah 92 points, and 2 pts ahead of second germany. actually he could have earnt more, because since 2 years ago he has been absolutely on the spot, to get everything perfect.
as u saw, in both team and individual, both Japan, and Uchimura himself individually looked very nervy ... especially Japan was terribly weak at Pommel horse.
so not a perfect performance as he would have liked but gold nevertheless.
wonder if he will take part in next olympics by then he would be 27,,, and its very hard for 27 year old body to cope with the game.
thanks for praising our home boy arigato!!!

Re: 2012 Summer Olympics
this was uchimura's one of the perfect performance last year ...
in 2008 beijing he took silver, but ever since ... whether it is international or domestic event he has been really really spot on and near perfect... only in london olympics it was very unusual to see him struggle but took gold nevertheless..

Re: 2012 Summer Olympics
booooooooooo, well outside of china, it's basically impossible for china to beat usa in total medals... for now at least, but gold count could be different, more likely but still isnt big on that. china's prediction for themselves was 35-37 golds, so they are doing pretty good so far id say.
also ya jesp, im chinese so i watched the gymnastic team final! it was some intense stuff! too bad one of the japanese gymnist got hurt on the vault, else it wouldve been RIGHT DOWN THE WIRE!!
to the individual events we go!

wow.. i had no idea... ^O^V thats cool. i am happy for chinese because they really were favourites alongside japanese. yeah i agree, one of the gymnast got injured badly and he couldnt continue.
but also we werent good that we were supposed to be in the team performance, because clearly the horse pommel was the most weakest for japanese our boys really struggled.
individually i was convinced uchimura will do it but, tonger i want to ask, why there was no representative for china in individual??? they had injury too??? thought they would have won gold or silver.... because uchimura was so good he had no competition, would have been nice to see china giving a good challenge... but yeah china deserved gold in team no question.

Re: 2012 Summer Olympics
USA Basketball destroys Nigeria 156-73. They obliterated the world record for most points scored in an Olympic basketball game.
Melo Anthony scored 37 points.....in 14 minutes. The most points scored in a single Olympic basketball game by an American
All other teams who won today scored at least 82 points total. USA won this game by a whopping 83 points.
It was a boring as shit game, but this kinda blowout will soak up some ridiculous attention. I pity Nigeria for having to endure that.

Del Potro- Federer is really intense right now. I would recommend everyone to start watching the remaining half an hour or so.

It was a truly great match. Nerve wrecking. And the fact that Delpo managed to fight it off to 19 against Federer in his best surface and Delpo's worse really speaks volumes to me. The future is his.

Jessica Ennis
3 gold medals in space of 30 minutes
We are comfortably in 3rd now, we will never catch the Americans or the Chinese but 3rd is still a massive success if we stay there.
I was completely wrong about the olympics, it's been a massive success and will be worth every penny.
BTW typical that the footballers fail as usual.
So proud of all of them.
