Caceres out for 45 days

Martin Caceres could be out of action for up to 45 days after Juventus confirmed that the defender has damaged knee ligaments.

The Uruguayan picked up the injury on Saturday night in the Trofeo TIM tournament which also involved Inter and Milan.

The Old Lady have today announced that the January signing has sustained a first-second degree tear of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

The defender is expected to be sidelined for at least a month, but that could be extended to six weeks depending on his rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, midfielder Simone Pepe will be unavailable for the next 20 days after a scan confirmed a first degree tear to his left thigh muscle.

Both players will be missing from the August 11 Italian Super Cup Final against Napoli.
