If you like those mysterious, having-to-chase-to-keep-up kinda movies. This one is yours.
My rating: 7/10
One of my top 5 favorite movies.
Donnie Darko

Amazing movie.

Re: The Movie House
If she wasn't famous and well known, but was rather some normal girl you just saw around. I would never ever, EVER, even touch her with a 10 foot pole. I just find her face very unattractive, I don't know why (maybe because she's fugly). I actually used to think she was pretty back in the day when she had some more meat on her and had longer hair.
But because she's famous I'd bang her just to be able to say I've done it with Anne Hathaway.

I want some of the glue you snort

but then again, there is an anti-Blonde movement in GL.
Blondes, forever under-rated

Re: The Movie House
Finally got round to watching Silver Linings Playbook. Not a bad movie. I can see why J. Law got the Oscar as there was one scene particularly that all, but clinched it for her.
Loved Robert De Niro in this flick as well as the small part from Chris Tucker. Bradley Cooper showed some range to his acting as well.
All in all, this movie ended up reminding me of "Shall We Dance?"
As far as dance/ rom coms go...that movie was still better, but this one had better individual performances.

Re: The Movie House
Only flaw that Anne Hathaway has is that she's a little too skinny.
But then again she is pretty and she's famous and she's BLONDE
so I'd touch her.

"Seven Psychopaths"
Great first half, good-but-could-have-been-made-legendary second half.
Great acting from everyone as well.

I want to see this. It kind of went under the radar, but I'm a Walken fan and will get around to it sometime soon.goonbrain wrote:"Seven Psychopaths"

Re: The Movie House
Munich
Intense, suspenseful and very good direction. True-story about a few pros who get recruited to kill Palestinians, who were behind the death of 11 Israeli athletes. The job gets to the leader of these pros though, as it affects him mentally.
This film kinda reminds me of Argo, they're almost the same in its concept (Political, redemption/vengeance) And I think this film is just better. Very good acting from Eric Bana, though the supporting cast let him down a little bit. But still worth the watch.
My rating: 7.1/10

Re: The Movie House
Finally finished watching The Godfather, and The Godfather: Part II...
amazing acting and amazing direction. I think Al Pacino was better than Robert de Niro in Part II. The drama is second to none.
BUT still I enjoyed GoodFellas more. It is still my favourite crime/mafia film.
GoodFellas >>>>> Godfather: Part II >>>>> Godfather

Re: The Movie House
Just saw The Great Gatsby, splendid movie. Leonardo was top notch, and the storyline really reeled me in. The narration was the best although.
The movie really made me ponder about how we should move on with life tbh

Re: The Movie House
Just watched Upstream Color and...I'm having a hard time comprehending it. Looking stuff up so I can understand the movie.
It was certainly interesting...I don't know what I'd say about it, or recommend it, as I had a hard time understanding it. If you like the abstract and more complex movies, perhaps this movie is your type...if not, stay away.
After reading about it, it makes more sense, but I'm not sure what to say about it...I'm pretty tired, so maybe that's it, perhaps I'll say something about it another time.
It's certainly an odd movie...

Re: The Movie House
Watched two David Fincher movies- "The Game" and "The girl with the dragon tattoo".
Both were fantastic, owing to the brilliant direction. I have loved all Fincher movies, in fact. Definitely one of the best current directors.
