Trailer for Sam Raimi's Oz the Great and Powerful.

As far as reboots go, this looks fantastic I must say. A little too similar to Burton's Alice in Wonderland and I really don't like James Franco for this role, but it looks great nonetheless.

Liked Franco ever since 127 hours but don't think he's cut out for this role either.

Mila Kunis in a movie means must watch though. Embarassed

Anyway, watched Paranormal Activity 4 with some mates.

Waste of money and time. While it's 88 minutes long, the movie could be summed up in about 10 minutes, it's so poor in my opinion. The Movie House - Page 19 2276801876

Have anyone among you read "Life of Pi"? If so, what do you think about the trailer?

I expected the film to be bad, but it turns out that it isn't. I wouldn't say it was great, but fefinitely better than the others.

Looper was magnificent... Juz a great sci-fi action movie in general. As someone pointed out earlier in this thread, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was great. Performed his character quite perfect I should say.

As for Taken 2. Well I thought it would be a major cock-up, but it wasn't actually that bad. And I wouldn't say it's a waste of your time/money. It has some good scenes, not as full of suspense as the first movie, but as I said it's not bad.
Though, of course the 1st movie, Taken, was still the better movie.

I take back what I said on Total Recall remake prematurely. It was actually a good movie...If it wasn't for the original,it would probably be rated higher because in comparison the first one is simply better. It just doesn't have that awesome feeling the first one had.

I really didn't like the scene with the lady with 3 titties,it was so unfitting. In Mars, there were people with severe abnormalities and lady with the 3 titties was a really memorable scene, while in the remake, you have just perfectly normal people and suddenly a lady with 3 titties wants to have sex with you cause 3 titties is obviously better than 2.

No Mars in the remake Sad

Anyway, good watch, definitely not a waste of time,at least for me.

Actually juz saw a trailer of it a few minutes ago and even in the trailer Jake Gyllenhael and Michael Peña looked good ( in terms of acting of course Laughing ) Yes. It definitely looked interesting and I'm definitely going to try and watch it soon.

All of that directors (Wes Anderson) films are somewhat like that and amazing.... Owen Wilson, Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman are regulars in his movies

You need to watch The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore and Fantastic Mr. Fox

i had a marathon of his film one day and stumbled upon Moonrise Kingdom when it came out

We should work on compiling some kind of big list of movies in GL and give them ratings. It would be interesting to see what people's all-time favourite movies are in some sort of chart like IMDB has with their watchlist.

Went down to Sheboygan and it was sold out actually (damn you Thanksgiving Day weekend!), got tickets for tomorrow. So I'll have to postpone my comments on Lincoln until tomorrow.

I agree, real good movie.

I also saw Flight yesterday, it was pretty good. Denzel made the movie, I think it would've been less than mediocre without him.

Lincoln was amazing

Daniel Day Lewis ffs

Great movie. I highly recommend it to anyone, unless you're one of those mindless drones that detest Woody Allen movies and prefer a movie like Battleship with tons of special effects.

This year has been fantastic with movies, and although Argo was great, I think Lincoln >> Argo personally.

Steven Spielberg Thumbs up

I posted a loooooooong list of good movies a bunch of pages back. There are some more I'm probably going to be adding on it and reposting it again.

I have heard of that movie before, but haven't gotten around to watching it yet. My friends say it's one of the better movies they've seen in recent times.

From what I hear it's highly recommended so I think I'll check it out, and I echo the sentiment others should too.
