Actually, making it to the elimination rounds is a must. After that, it just depends on the draw.

Unless the Mayans are correct, there is always next season. And the one after, and the one after that one and so forth and so forth.
Real Madrid spent quarter billion euros and got knocked out in the R16. PSG have a real chance of not making it out of the group stages but it isn't the biggest fail in the history of French Football.
Not winning Ligue 1 would be...

Ok it's a new team with probably a new system. They won't win it and they shouldn't be expected to either. This is not FIFA where you assemble a team and win everything. They need time to play good together. I see them winning ligue 1 pretty easily.
The Mayans never said the world ends. The caledner was stopped, lol this end of the world crap is such overhyped horse shit.

How so? If depends on what draw they get if they make it to the knockout stages. If they go out to Barca there is no shame in that.
That said, they MUST win their league.

I don't think it matters, 3 DM's check, and I'm sure they'll sign a new CB.

Re: If PSG doesnt go past 1/4, that d be biggest fail in history of French football
Why? they are not good enough to qualify from most possible CL groups from spot 4.
Not winning Ligue 1 would be a massive failure, but i for one dont expect them to go far in the CL.
I have notice a trend here, spend a lot of money = overrate teams.

Marseille went on a similar buying spree in the early 90s too when they bought Jean-Pierre Papin, Chris Waddle, Klaus Allofs, Enzo Francescoli, Abedi Pelé, Didier Deschamps, Basile Boli, Marcel Desailly, Rudi Völler and Éric Cantona in a 3 year stretch.

Re: If PSG doesnt go past 1/4, that d be biggest fail in history of French football
As said before, I agree they should probably win Ligue 1, but I don't see them going too far. I expect them to get out of the groups maybe, but after that I don't expect anything.
Expecting instant success is...odd. Neither Man City nor Madrid had instant success the season after they spent the amount of money they did, for recent examples.

You realize that the whole 2012 apocalypse thing is bogus right? Mayan calander doesn't end in 2012, it simply moves on to the next cycle.
Kinda like the western calendars and 999 and 1999.
The Mayan calendar simply moves on to it's 14th cycle.
