Not sure why he as voted the worst signing on Marca... In fact same with Song. When both of have played, they've played alright. It's just they haven't played enough. It's not like both have played bad when they have played.

Hopefully when Mourinho leaves, Modric starts in the middle along with Ozil and they play in a style that suits them.

Why do you want Mourinho to leave? Modric has been incosistent this season but Mourinho has plans for him, he's show flashes of his brilliance in a few matches but has struggled to be consistent for the full 90. He was brought in to eventually replace Alonso, which I believe would happen sooner or later, till then he'd have the make the most of the limited time he has on the pitch.

It's just the way we play under Mourinho. Usually when I see Modric play, he's always alone in the middle and our attacks go through the wings. I think our team should be built around Ozil and Modric in the middle. Not saying it's the only way to play, but I think we'd get the best out of both and our style of play would improve.

Plus Mourinho also has problems with the locker room etc etc.

Our style of play is perfect for the players we've got. Tottenham and Croatia don't play a very dissimilar style to what Real Madrid plays, yet Modric excelled. His problem has been the lack of preseason due to a protracted transfer, and the fact that he's in a new league with new teammates, it'll take him some time to adjust, come next season he'd be very integral in the team.

Am i the only one who thinks he was man of the match today?

He had a good game. Made some good tackles, good passes etc. Also his corner led to Ramos' goal.

I can't think of anyone who would be MoTM ahead of him. Maybe Pepe or Varane.

That's harsh. I think he did quite well all things considered. When Khedira came on he became even better.

I believe in Modric.

Modric was lost? lol. he was great from the start. everytime he had the ball he was great. worked hard and did some great tackles that i didn't expect from him.

Modric played well even before Ronaldo and Khedira came on. The only ones who looked a bit lost before the subs were Benzema & Kaka. I see no reason why he cannot be Alonso replacement.

literally our whole midfield was lost until sammy came in. I uave never seen a team have as much posession as barca had in our half. who was the dm pepe or modric? they seemed to occupy the same spots. when did we ever attack on tue ground in the first half sorry must have missed it lol

when khedira came in he showed how to play back there and we started keeping posession alot more. if modric is the one replacing alonso then ronaldo will have even more work to do I am afraid

dont get me wrong modric played better later when he was played higher up but should he be a sub or what? we payed 60mill for him for crying out loud he should be keeping our mid ticking not run into his partner and get raed everytime we dont defend in numbers deportivo rings a bell?

Well it's normal for Mourinho's tactics to allow Barca 60%+ possession. I'm sure in a different system Modric would thrive even more against Barca.

To break the parked bus maybe like we did in 2nd half last match but with Di Maria in place of Kaka or Benzema.
