Who is better? ( TS is the best btw )
actually i can't say some CB is better than him. there is no big difference between them really. TS, Pepe, Pique, Chiellini, him and now Ramos are all great and there isn't big difference. so you can't say he is the 2nd best CB. just one of the best.

Kompany, and this is coming from a guy who wouldn't piss on Manchester City if they were on fire and holding my newborn child

Nah it's just Ramos is a Madrid player, people are not allowed to think someone from another club is better.
Kompany is better than Ramos in every way, just drop it lol.

There's players at other clubs that are better than some Real Madrid players.

Re: Sergio Ramos vs. Vincent Kompany
It's amazing, I don't think I've ever seen a Madrid fan create a comparison thread about Ramos other than relevant ones such him vs Pique/Pepe.
But Madrid fans are at fault for this garbage.
New thread every other week, every other week it's the same monotonous bullshit.

Who cares who creates the thread lol, it matters about the comments in the thread.
In my experience, you cant be better than an important Madrid player it's not possible.

1 Madrid fan said he's better (Mt a that ).
This season alone, Lescott,Mexes,Batsuber,Cahill, have all been deemed better, it's funny. At this point it's Barca fans that come in these threads and defend him, Barca fans.......Barca fans hate Ramos lol.

Re: Sergio Ramos vs. Vincent Kompany
Tbf mate if a Newcastle fan acted like Madrid fan's it would pretty ridiculous.
Considering our trophy haul over the last 50 years ago, we act like the way we do because we have had no success.
The fact 95% of us don't even expect top 6 next season says it all.
Anyway back to topic....
Le Sam.... no one said Lescott is better and no one said Mexes is better and Cahill was Gil trolling lol.
Badstuber could be argued IMO.

Madrid fans are the new Juve fans
b2b left back should be replaced with Spanish Bullardinho aka borja is better than Modric, because he's underrated whilst Modric is overrated

Borderline WC Lescott is imo will be there come end of season.
Would you write this in any thread other than a Ramos thread? I'm guessing no....

Well his positioning is improving. What people need to also take into consideration is that Ramo's mistakes are easier to highlight because Madrid's backline is always exposed, Alonso is ineffective cover and Khedira pushes so high up to press. It's his concentration that needs to improve, his positioning is good when he is paying attention. He got away with it at rb but at cb he is the last man so it is morre obvious. Concentration, then postioning is pretty much it. Kompany reminds me of a more old school hard knocks CB that doesnt take shite from anyone, Ramos is a modern cb. In time Ramos will get there. For me at least, potentially the best cb in Europe.

Re: Sergio Ramos vs. Vincent Kompany
^I don't think he ever will be the best , that concentration point I think is really the defining factor, the way Madrid as a unit approach games at times and the way we handle leads and by extension the sort of leads we establish, it's very difficult to ask players to maintain concentration.
Too much cruise control but that's just the way it is really , I doubt it will ever change, and that compounds the problem of the defensively weak midfield.
I'm suprised you didn't mention man marking and heading. Throwback centre forwards to me give him issues, alot of the time he's more focused on where the ball so players get behind him and infront of him , largely from crosses. Again, that's very strongly linked to the way the game is approached in Spain, most of the centre backs have problems there.
And well the final point is he needs to calm down but I'm not sure I want him to change in that area , it kind of defines him as a player,

Hardly...
I do think however the only reason you took it to that extreme was that the player he was being compared to was Ramos.

As for Kompany I think he has the potential to be the best, I watched a couple City games last year and he did remind me of Vidic, though he had slightly more distibution (Vidic to me was always heavily dependent on Ferdinand in that regard).Komany seemed completely in a zone last season , especially against United.

Kompany though needs to be tested at CL level... Ramos in the top 5 though and can easily be in the top CB within a couple of years.

Re: Sergio Ramos vs. Vincent Kompany
I haven't seen kompany play much.. but from what I did see he was very solid and had excellent distribution.
So I'll watch him more next season and really make my verdict.
