De Gea obviously has flaws. Not saying he is perfect. Especially his decision making sometimes can be a little off. But over a period of time, say in the last 3 years, theres not been a better goalkeeper in world football. Not even Nueur, who I rate higher btw.  DDG's unreal consistency and ability to deliver 7+ performances week after week, thats his strongest trait.

De Gea has become a howler merchant and Courtois is just utter shit.

Nah, i'd say De Gea is still better, then comes Szczęsny and Conetois secures last place

Of course Oblak and Ter Stegen are a tier above those 3.

The only reason you think Szczęsny is now better than De Gea is because the latter is having a bad season for his standards, not because your numpty is playing at world-class level.

If you really want to see who's better overall, compare De Gea at his best to Szczęsny at his best. And Szczęsny at his best is not even fit enough to lace the shoes of De Gea in his beast form.

I would take De Gea over your goalie any day.

Also, I agree with Myesyats, those two combined don't hold a candle to Oblak and Ter Stegen.

And I don't even understand why being better than Courtois is a source of pride. Even Navas is better than him.

De Gea is the most overrated goalkeeper IMO. He is quality, top 10 for sure, but there are many others at his level like Lloris. United fans have overhyped him for the simple reason that for many years he was their only top class player.

De Gea never proved himself at a high level. Not in the national team, not in the CL. He has shows signs of mental weakness many times on the biggest stages.

Being a great shot stopper alone for the 5th or 6th best team in England does not make you the best in the world.

Said this for years.

I know he has no marketing lobby behind him at all and even his own club has replaced him with a numpty but Keylor Navas was among the very best and at his peak better than De Gea for years.
