tbh germans did well to contain pirlo which opened up space for monti and cassano to attack

FFS Xavi is better, but Pilro has been 'better' this tournament. More influencial if I may. Player of the tournament for me.

spain's midfield is stronger than italy's. Pirlo might overcome xavi which can and cannot happen because of some factors, but to overcome Iniesta and then Busquets. It will be hard

How were the Germans shutting down Pirlo when they couldn't even get the ball off him? They tried and tried, but just couldn't do it. Don't think that's shutting him down by any stretch of the imagination.

Neutrals are quite 50/50 on the matter.

I think they are both arguabally the better player. And that's the beauty of it. Even after this game people won't change their minds if they have seen both players many times. All agree to disagree on this topic.
