We're definitely going to sign defenders as well. We're wrapping up deals for Corinthians' Leandro Castan and Dodo (a CB and a LB). With Marquinho's ability to also play LB, this probably will signal the end for Jose Angel possibly, but that depends entirely on Zeman. Sabatini is said to be especially keen on Angelo Ogbonna and has hinted we could even sell Osvaldo to help fund the move considering Torino want 15m for him. A 12m offer plus one of our youth players might be enough to get him.

As for RB...we haven't been linked with too many that we actually have a chance at signing. van der Wiel was our top target before his shocker at the Euro. We were also linked with Debuchy as well, but that one's 100% talk as well as Gebre Selassie, but by then he had already committed to Werder Bremen. Realistically, I can see us continuing with Aleandro Rosi and probably promoting Loic Nego up from the Primavera. They'll be the weak link of our defense probably, but they are still pretty good defenders.

Milan are reportedly close to securing Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra after his talks with Spartak Moscow broke down.

The French midfielder is among those surplus to requirements in Jose Mourinho’s Liga champions.

He had been heavily linked with a switch to Spartak Moscow, but it is now rumoured those negotiations have hit problems.

Milan are not eager to take on Diarra’s wages, but according to Spanish sources Real will help to push through the move.
