no i dont, so what about it? if ronaldo scored freekicks as consistently as messi dribbles passed 2-3 players, then id give it to ronaldo. but he does not. how can you be a football purist and not see messi as the best? i mean come on.

I'm sorry but this is a load of BS. One moment doens't mean he did it for the entire season. Messi did not track back consistently ffs, and a problem with Barcelona was their lack of intense pressing. This opinion is for people that don't watch Barcelona regularly. Ronaldo has momnets like that but people will never rehister them beacuse of the hate. Next thing people will tell me Rooney tracked back all season.

1) Losing it
2) Getting Fouled
3) Shooting (badly)
4) Playing a simple back pass, to Xavi
5) Attempting a dangerous through ball (successful about 10% of the time)

He is not one the level of Ozil

Expanding on my previous post.

He suffers from, what I like too call, 'Zidane Syndrome'.

Named after its most famous sufferee.

Symptoms include;

Flattering to deceive, looks better than he/she really is. Primarily caused by a 'good first touch', and a few nice 'flicks'.

They make simple things look more difficult than they really are, and thus, are inturn overrated by the blind sheeple, who rate 'tekkers' as the second most important footballing trait, behind Finishing.

Yes, he was/is not on the level of Pirlo.

All Scholes, did, was play some good long balls.

Other than that, his midfield play was/is, better than average, but nothing special.

Take away his long passing, and Modric would be 3x the player Scholes is.

A real one trick pony.

Thanks for mentioning Modric because with your logic, he suck seeing as he last season he only scored 6 goals and only got 5 assist in 50 games, compare that to iniesta who scored 9 goals and got 12 assist in the same amount of games...

Same with Pirlo who is average under 10 assist per game and even less goals. So using your logic, all four of them, Iniesta, Modric, Pirlo and Scholes are average...
