Forlan. He was one of the most complete players I've ever seen and very very underrated.

Cavani, Always felt Forlan was average and only did well alongside Aguero.

Prime Forlan was fantastic with or without Aguero, but it's unfair to compare his prime form with Cavani's atm form. So my vote goes for Cavani atm.

I'd go with a prime Forlan

Can't compare them to be honest,Forlan is at the twilight of his career while Cavani can achieve a lot more than Forlan did.
Looking at the way they play,I'd take Forlan as he offers more to the team than Cavani.

can he though? prime forlan was an absolute beast , he only lacked pace..

Different types of players, Forlan used to like to roam outside the box and wings, be a part of the build up, he used to work extremellay hard to be a part of thhe build up play from the defense. Forlans long passing and Shooting are much better are much better, and hes also more relaxed on the ball. Cavani destroys him in physical attributes however, forlan in his prime ran for his team a lot but cavani is like literally having another defender, Cavani trys to be neat in his passes and doesnt seem to mess up alot in passes on the contrary the balls finds aplayer when it leaves his feet. Cavani has better movement inside the box and finishing then forlan and is pacier also. Folran is more of an ss though.. Forlan was also Two times european golde boot winner and best player of the world cup..
