It's the amount of money each team makes. It won't affect the viewers.
OT: Holy Cow! that is some serious money, FFP won't be a problem now!

This just widens the difference between the Premier League and the Championship x1000000.
Oh and this is a MASSIVE middle finger to FFP(especially when you add the new CL deal).

Yeah, this deal is great for the Premier League, but the gap to the lower leagues just keeps on widening.
Theoratically clubs that get relegated from the Premier League will have made so much money and acquired such good players that they will be favorites to bounce right back up from the Championship where most clubs will not have tasted PL's riches for years.

"Many have written that the new contract would mean that the bottom club in 2013/14 would receive as much as the top club now (£60.6 million), but we can see that this is not quite the case."

Re: New Premier League TV Deal
Serie A does ok with TV revenue.
"The total money negotiated in the new collective deal by media rights partner Infront Sports had not been approximately 20% higher than before at around €1 billion a year. This cemented Italy’s position as the second highest TV rights deal in Europe, only behind the Premier League, but significantly ahead of Ligue 1 and La Liga. In fact, Italy’s deal is worth twice as much as the Bundesliga."

Fortunately, many South American and Southern European players will not want to play in England and will go to Italy and Spain where they feel more at home.

I think if Aston Villa or whomever offers them double the salary many will kiss "home" goodbye.

Do you really think that Aston Villa can offer twice as much as Napoli, if De Laurentiis wants a player? Much less Berlusconi or Moratti. Except for Roma, Serie A clubs are owned by competitive Italian billionaires (or families like the Agneliis) , not wealthy Arabs and Russians. Don't worry about Serie A and La Ligs will get the players.

But it won't be another zero, it may be 10-20% difference. For that, players will go for a nicer lifestyle of Spain or Italy.

You'd be surprised what some clueless rich clubs in the PL are willing to offer players who are hyped up beyond belief

Aston Villa averages 80,000 pounds in wages and they are crap..... a lot bigger teams in England will pay a lot more money.... and this is before this tv deal even existed.
Tbh if players have any smarts at all they wont join Villa because they are going nowhere but money wont be a problem for them.

Yes
UEFA Financial Fair Play bro, the days of sugar daddying are coming to an end.
I don't want Serie A to decline and for its big teams to not be able to attract big players, Serie A is by far my favorite league.
However all the facts are there under our nose, we can already see the effects. Milan is buying all the bosman players it can, Inter can't even buy guys like Lavezzi who in the past Moratti would just laugh and snatch him up. Juventus is spending a ton of money i don't think they have, and even they can't attract big players like Cavani, Van Persie or Benzema anymore.

Juventus (read Agnelli) could buy England, so they don't have a problem. Plus they haven't collected but a year's match day revenue and haven't sold the stadium name yet.
Juventus will probably get Van Persie if they want him. Do you think 100 million means much to the Agnellis? Cavani is not for sale because De Laurentiis doesn't want to sell him. Simple as that. Lavezzi won't go to England, he might go to France and if De Laurentiis wants to keep him he won't be sold. It's up to De Laurentiis who does not need to make money with Napoli.
Where is Lavezzi going to play at Inter. If Inter wanted him they would buy him.
And, we are buying players like Constant and Acerbi and there will be other surprises. Berlusconi could buy every club in the EPL if wanted to. You really underestimate the capacity of the club owners in the Serie A.
Lavezzi, if goes, will go to France, not England.

Again, i'm not questioning the wealth of Serie A oweners. I'm sure if they wanted Moratti, Agnelli and (especially) Berlusconi could go Euro to Euro with Sheik Mansour, Abramovich and the Glazers but its not about that.
Uefa Financial Fair play means these owners cannot keep injecting money into their clubs if they wish to play Champions League.

Do you really understand FFP? If necessary Case-New Holland, or Iveco or Fiat/Chrysler could decide that the Juventus stadium needs to be called the Case-New Holland Stadium. Case-New Holland profits alone were about half a billion euro last year. Could Agnellis decide that 50 million per year for 5 years (paid in advance) should be what it costs to change the name of the stadium?

Re: New Premier League TV Deal
Honestly it looks like you're the one that doesn't understand FFP.
UEFA included a rule on "Fair Value" which seeks to precisely stop what you're describing. If a club tries to do it and its an obvious attempt to try and bypass FFP a UEFA panel will ban them from Champions League.
Of course Manchester City already called UEFAs bluff with a recent mega deal, the point still stands that it won't at the very least, be as easy as that.

Who is to say what is "fair value". What do you think Emirates paid for the stadium name? Looked it up. Emirates Airlines paid 200 million pounds for 15 years but there has been inflation. So what should Fiat/Chrysler pay. They are bigger than the airline.

Re: New Premier League TV Deal
A UEFA panel will decide what "Fair Value" is. Of course its far from perfect, this is actually FFPs weakest point.
However its not like teams will make amazing unprecedented deals, or at least it remains to be seen if UEFA will actually have the balls to start banning teams.
