There's an old saying in Iran, which says when God wants to make a poor bastard happy, he makes the guy's jackass go missing, then helps the man find the animal. This way, without sparing him anything, the poor bastard will be the happiest man on earth.

Yesterday I thought about this scenario too, when Silvio "The Superman" steps in again and...

1. Blocks the transfer
2. Call Leonardo a pigheaded son of a bitch
3. Then very Vito Corleonely reminds everybody that "Carlo is family"
4. That it takes 100m to prize Thiago away from us
5. That he has spent billions on this team in these three decades
6. Has won more than Santiago Bernabeu, may Lord rest his soul.
7. And that he wants Ronaldinho back

Very unlikely, but I won't rule it out.

The probability of this soap opera increases dramatically if PSG don't eventually meet our demands, because this way Silvio would say the reason we rejected was him, and only him.

Here's the deception of the year and even though i suspect i ll get a lot of shit for saying this , especialy right now , i ll say it none the less.

Thiago Silva was the orchistrator of our defence this season .

Nnnno. When Nesta was out , there was Yepes , Mexes there playing alongside him , them moved the strings at the back , not Silva . He is not ready to lead a defence like it should be .Note , i am not questioning his performances , but his skills to control and lead the backline , like , when to drop deep or move forward or when to execute offside traps.. tell-make the fullbacks to move forward..These stuff like Maldini and Nesta did for fun .

The gods know how i love Thiago , but he is not the anchorman the majority thinks he is , because his individual goatness against defenders makes it very hard to call the deception . When Bonera was alongside him though.. and they both couldn't lead ..

just see the results when both played :coffee:

tbh,our season ended after silva got injured.barca,losses in serie a..it all happened after his injury and when nesta-mexes took over

well , i said he can't lead the backline ; not that our defence can deal without him .

Thiago does the dirty work at the back , but he does it with such class and so clean , he's never dirty or dangerous for others.. and that's why he is the very best right now .

He is able to deal with any kind of player , take a header from the tallest players or sprint faster to reach the ball than many , many wingers would .
And all that without even trying to give a , you know what .

But tell him to command , and then you ll see how shy he becomes , how his decision making on what's-next is riskful , how the fullbacks stay static because they don't receive the nod or the ball by the CB(silva)..

To his defence, he has the characteristics needed to become such a leader eventualy , he's very bright and calm , he's experienced for his age and he's respected by teammates and opponents . But he isn't there yet .
I would say in a few years he will , after he gets experience at it . He wasn't this season , though .
