Ballack is not impressed.

Does anyone else want to strike Alexi Lalas anytime he opens his mouth?

I'm just curious. I know that I nearly threw my shoe at the television when he started praising Roy for his negative tactics against France. I was so happy that Ballack stepped in with support for positive, attractive football.

I wasn't terribly impressed with Ballack in the first few match analyses, but he's really grown on me. A great addition to the ESPN coverage team.

I'm not-so-secretly hoping Ballack goes over the table at Lalas by the end of the tournament. If Germany make the final and Lalas says something utterly inappropriate (which is almost guaranteed), Ballack might do it.

Alexi wouldn't like it if he was angry...

Alexi Lalas is beyond terrible. "Theres beauty in it" is what he said in regards to Englands draw I believe.

I think he has a slight point, in that it takes tactical discipline, and I don't blame England, because there's nothing else they could have done, basically.

But come on, if the Italians had done this, he would be going nuts, about negative tactics, bloody catenaccio, Italians never playing risky, attacking football like the English do etc. etc. ... :X

Italy have 10x the player power in their team. To not attack with their plethora of stars would be criminal. England have a Simon Phoenix lookalike and Welbeck
