“It would make no sense to go to Barcelona when they’ve already got Leo Messi,” Bob van Persie told El Mundo Deportivo.
“Real Madrid would be a good option, but they are not so much a team as a collection of star names, so he wouldn’t really fit in there either.
“He’d never go to Manchester City, as it’s impossible he would play for another Premier League side that wasn’t Arsenal.”

If there at Milan we weren't that stacked up with forwards , one could bet Galliani would do a Montolivo/Flamini with RVP
On the other hand , if (big if) Ibrahimovic left this summer ... he could ve been the perfect signing for Milan .

hmm , let me see if i got this right ; You claim it was I who made a stupid quotation , but the phrase

So. I just tidied up the "Confirmed transfers" thread and merged the rumours to the "Transfer Rumours" thread. The comments above about the "confirmed transfers thread" thus are void as the rumours are now where they belong.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 2
Djourou’s agent has confirmed he could “play in Italy or Spain” next season, as there are a “series of meetings” with Serie A sides lined up.
“Can Djourou join Napoli? It’s certainly possible, especially as we will be in Italy next week for a series of appointments,” agent Flavio Ferraria told Radio Crc.
“At the moment Napoli are not on the list of appointments, but everything is possible. If the lad leaves the Premier League, then he will play in Italy or Spain.
“I saw my client the other day and he was enthusiastic about both Napoli and Italy in general. So far we have received an offer worth €10m, but it is up for negotiation.
“The lad wants to play for one of the top five Italian clubs.”

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread Pt. 2
BAYERN MUNICH will table a £20million bid to take Edin Dzeko back to Germany, Man City wants Muller part of the deal.
And Manchester City reckon that could prove the ace up their sleeve which sees Thomas Muller move in the opposite direction.
SunSport revealed last month that the Premier League champions would listen to offers for Dzeko, who cost them £27m from Wolfsburg 18 months ago.
And German sources insist Bayern plan to make a move for the Bosnian striker.
City have also been alerted to the fact attacking midfielder Muller, 22, has hinted he may have to quit the Allianz Arena for regular first-team action.
And the prospect of landing Muller in exchange for Dzeko — plus around £5m — is hugely appealing to Etihad chiefs

So is it City giving Dzeko + 5m for muller or is it Bayern giving Muller + 5m for Dzeko???
Honestly I would be Happy with a Straight swap and Muller can play wide correct???

Not saying Muller should be part of the deal, but if Bayern gets Dzeko, they wont be able to do anything with all those players. Some guys on the team are going to want out. Especially if they keep getting owned by Dortmund. Dont give me that stuff about multiple competitions either....

L'Equipe says Nasri has been told he is not in Roberto Mancini's plans at Manchester City, only a year after the Blues beat Manchester United to the signing of the France midfielder.
