Good question.

I really think he should be rested for the international games.

Did u guys notice hazard being too dramatic when he fell and there was no penalty given. I think if he didn't over emphasize it he'd have been awarded one because replay showed a contact and trip

I think there was minimal contact (if any at all) in the first place. Not a penalty drama or not, for me.

So tell me, who doesn't watch Chelsea regularly, is Hazard taking on defenders as much as he should? Judging by the two or three Chelsea games I've seen this season I've thought he's not playing as a winger rather than as an attacking midfielder. He hasn't looked dangerous one-on-one to me and shouldn't he be that? Maybe I've just seen the wrong games, though.

his animalistic instincts could be triggered instantaneously. Muscle Memory....when the time is ripe and chance presents itself rendering him unpredictable. He's more efficient now. A hybrid predator upgrade of his former self

He isn't running at defenders as much as he should and coming inside a lot but when he does get the ball out wide and near the penalty area, he is very dangerous.

How he (who, let's be honest, was brilliant in patches last term) gets on it and someone like Mata who performed supremely throughout the season from start to finish doesn't is beyond me. Oh well, it's a sham of an award anyway.

It's a popularity award, I mean people will tend to like hazard more than mata, even with all that mata did.

Strong suggestions the reason Hazard was dumped from the matchday squad completely today was because he went to the Lille-Monaco game on Sunday evening (which is true) and showed up very late for training on Monday.

Apparently it was confirmed by Mourinho after the match (after he said he 'preferred not to talk about specifics' or something initially), and that he wasn't late, but skipped training altogether.

I could not accept Hazard's apology, says Mourinho after Chelsea star misses training:
Jose Mourinho has not accepted Eden Hazard's apology for missing training earlier this week
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2492674/Chelsea-manager-Jose-Mourinho-did-accept-Eden-Hazards-apology.html

"He has reacted well because he apologised to me and to the club."

"Of course the apology wasn't accepted because it was something I couldn't accept, but it's over."
"He is a very good kid. He went to a foreign country when he shouldn't have gone - and on top of that he lost his passport."

"He knows that everyone was clear and right that he made a mistake. It wasn't a big story."

"Everyone knows what my decision would be. The group principles are even more important than a football result."
"There are no more consequences, the consequence was not to play and that as the worst thing for a player."

"He is ready to play and has appetite to play. I'm happy he is back."
