Obviously it is going to be hard to replicate what he did at Barcelona, if he joins any Italian club. The football is at a slower pace and the youth are not as technically gifted as the Spaniards. Added to to the fact he managed the Barcelona B team and formed good relationships with players like Busquets and Pedro, it is going to be a tougher task. Your first point about Barcelona having the trio of Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta within their ranks - meaning that they did all the work etc. - is void. When Guardiola took over, neither one of those players were at the top of their game. The last two had great Euro 2008 campaigns which did boost their confidence undoubtedly, but the side was not assembled, as you are wrongly trying to allude to. Dead-weight - Ronaldinho and Deco, both of whom caused problems in the past with clubbing - was removed from the equation. Messi was put on a new training regime thus he is no longer plagued by silly injuries. There are so many things Guardiola did, and for someone to say they had three world class players (bare in mind that Messi was never world class) is playing on a thin line of ignorance, when there is so much more involved.
Runner up to the balon d'or twice, before Pep, but yea, not WC.

Re: Which club will Guardiola go to next?
It is hard to take you seriously Jibers if you keep making comments like this. Of course, every coach depends on the best player in the team. What matters is how he used Messi, Xavi and Iniesta.
If Messi is the sole reason why Pep got Barcelona to win, then why did they fail last season when Messi had arguably the best season ever? Don't you think it is because Pep made mistakes in the strategy that he chose for the season and the tactics he used to execute it?

The last time Pep coached Barca was in 2009. Messi has been coaching Barcelona

I agree with you on the fact that Pep won't be able to replicate his success with Barca anywhere else simply because he won't have the Messi affect. But saying Rodgers is already a failure at Pool was pretty facepalm worthy to me, don't you agree?

Re: Which club will Guardiola go to next?
BATE Borisov midfielder Aliaksandr Hleb has said he does not consider Pep Guardiola to be the greatest coach in the world, as he had the best players at his disposal during his time with Barcelona.
"I learned more from Wenger than Guardiola, but Pep is a good coach," the 31-year-old told Esports en Xarxa.
"Guardiola is not the best coach in the world because he coached the best team in the world, with the best players, and that's why he won.
"It's hard not to win with a team like that and [Tito] Vilanova will have the greatest success.
"The best coaches in the world are [Jose] Mourinho, [Sir Alex] Ferguson and [Arsene] Wenger.
Speaking on his time with the Blaugrana, the well-travelled star added:
"I was very ambitious and wanted to play more but Barca played each player for a certain amount of minutes.
"For me, that was not enough. I was angry and wanted more, which was why we had some conflicts with Guardiola, but now I understand it was the nonsense and tantrums of a little boy."

Lol are we going to trust Hleb's word? His opinion is obviously going to be that of a disgruntled employee.

Re: Which club will Guardiola go to next?
Some of what he's saying is true, like he probably did learn more from Wenger.
However when Pep took over, those players weren't exactly as good as they are now. He had a broken puzzle, bought new pieces and joined the rest together to make a top team.

Milan made Guardiola offer – report
Pep Guardiola has been offered a four-year contract worth almost €25m by Milan, reports La Repubblica.
The Spaniard is being heavily linked with the Rossoneri given the uncertainty over the long-term future of Coach Massimiliano Allegri.
The former Barcelona boss is currently taking a break from football, but he’s expected to be back in the game for the 2013-14 season.
According to the Italian newspaper, contact between the Diavolo and Guardiola has already been made.
The San Siro giants have apparently offered him a four-year deal worth €6m a campaign to revive their fortunes.
Guardiola could be assisted by Milan legend Paolo Maldini at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The Gazzetta dello Sport also linked Guardiola with the job this morning, but they suggested that he would also demand heavy investment from the club on the transfer market.

Re: Which club will Guardiola go to next?
Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has agreed personal terms with Manchester City, it has been revealed.
Italian agent Nicola Giuliani, speaking on BBC Radio, insists Guardiola has reached a "preliminary agreement" with City for next season, reports Sport.
Guardiola is close to former Barca chiefs Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, who have both joined City in recent months, and is eager to work with them again.
The problem for the Spanish trio is manager Roberto Mancini has his feet well under the table at the Etihad, where he is sitting on a contract to 2017.

Re: Which club will Guardiola go to next?
Man City makes sense with all the La Liga players there. He can properly build around Silva, Yaya, Agüero. He would get rid of Balotelli, Tevez and Nasri though, no doubt. He might buy Sanchez or Villa next summer instead (Barca will get rid of 1 surely). And he'd need a proper central midfielder in the Modric mould. I don't know who though.
Next season: SAF vs. Mourinho @ Chelsea vs. Pep @ City.
