Re: Why Serie A > La Liga > EPL
Some people will never learn. They just have to think their league is better. :lol!:

FFS with these people. There is no "best" league. These threads should be renamed to "My favourite league is _________."

Within Big Clubs, each Italian team has won except Roma, but they don't compare.

at this moment in terms of quality la liga >epl>serie a..but in terms of competitiveness within the league, i would say serie a stands out..next season its gonna be even better..we would have 5 very competitive squads in milan inter juve roma and napoli..and of course we have udinese who are like mini-arsenal really..but somehow serie a desperately needs to get back that 4th spot..even though currently serie a teams are not doing well in europe ,they would still be highly valued than say the bundesliga clubs..ATM its a sort of dark phase in serie a and we really do miss the milan-juve domination in cl years ago but surely serie a will claw back soon..forza serie a

This many people discount the quality of play in La Liga.

La Liga first? I see, a league where they only depend on two clubs...

ATM EPL > Serie A > La Liga
EPL have the strongest teams and top 4 ( Man Utd Arsenal Chelsea Liverpool ) are not superior anymore.
La Liga have standard top 4 Real Barca and Valencia Vilareall ( sorry for wrong spelling ). Anyway Valencia and Villareal can bi replaced by Sevilla but we cant go further.Atletico M is good only in EL and if they sell Aguero they will find hard to qualify UCL ever.
Serie A is on improvement coz there are always Inter Milan Roma and Juve. But now we have very strong Napoli and average Lazio as always. The other clubs are in progress and maybe for 2-3 yrs we will reach EPL

And Italian teams do not fear English teams either. The only team I am scared of facing in Europe is Barca and after them Madrid. EPL has and is losing its luster just the same as Serie A.

Re: Why Serie A > La Liga > EPL
Honestly the quality of EPL teams is easily better than Seria A.When we were struggling terribly in the league we still won 3-1 easily against Napoli who were flying high at that time in the league.
Tottenham who finished 5th eliminated Italian champions.Would u expect the likes of Lazio or Udinese to eliminate United in a CL encounter any time soon?
Yes Seria A has won more CL than PL this decate. But PL teams have been far more competitive than Sera A in last 10 years.More often than not we have seen atleast 3 PL teams in QF of CL whereas mostly only 1 Seria A progress to QF stage this decade.
This just underlines the strength of PL when compared with Seria A.

In a competition which Italians have absolutely NO respect for. Look at Juve's line ups in it ffs.

If Udinese could play United now with the squad they have I would give them a real opportunity, but they are a small team in a small town and need to sell to survive and so we will never know...

I prefer winning to being competitive. I think Arsenal fans know what I mean.

So the players just threw away the match?Napoli put their best team and we put our 2nd choice line up.Yet we comfortably beat them.
Schkale which hammered Inter was beaten with ease by United 2nd choice players.Last time United faced a similar team for Seria A(milan and Roma) they were absolutely hammered.Udinese will be lucky to escape without being humiliated.Brigate Rossonere wrote:

Its not about being competitive but having more quality throughout the league. The top teams in PL have more quality than Seria A.
When Porto won the CL in 2004 did that mean Portugese league is the best league? No.A team winning CL doesnt mean that particular league is better.IT is determined by how all other teams perform too.Otherwise we would have a better league every year.

Re: Why Serie A > La Liga > EPL
Look at the number of injuries Milan had before blabbering about the Tottenham match. Thiago SIlva was playing in midfield ffs. And in the 2nd leg A YOUTH PLAYER was playing. Not to mention our trequartista Cassano, our best midfielder Van Bommel and Emanuelson were all cup tied.
