2008/09 was an all round $hit season.

2009/10, ANOTHER FVCKING SEASON THAT WE NEARLY TOOK TO THE END. Injuries fvcked us up with about 5 games to go

now 2010/11, yet another season we took the battle for long after the Post Carling Cup disaster everything went down., now in that same season, we went to a Carling Cup final, how the hell did Nasri play, tell me please?

Nasri was one of Arsenal's worst players in that game, passing, $hit, crossing $hit, thanks to Wilshere we had no Midfield in that game.

Then Nasri goes to City and say we are not ambitious enough? WHY WON'T HE BE HATED?

SECONDLY.

Nasri was flirtin with United , even I thought he was going there, and why was he flirting with them? The Frenchie wanted a fvcking pay rise. yeah you heard me a pay rse..

Actually Nasri plays on the flanks for City, he just cuts in to allow Clichy to overlap him.

Aleu, we all know Nasri is not a classy guy. He is saying stuff because he has been hearing things about him for the past one year and people have been following him to abuse him. I dont think you should get too worked up over this stuff.

And yes, Arsenal have been facing difficulties, no doubt. What Wenger has done is admirable for me atleast. I hope he does well next season.

aleumdance, just let it go mate - I wish we could stop talking about him. He won the title fair enough, hopefully we'll win it aswell next year. Finally our board is showing ambition with the likes of Podolski, M'Vila, Kagawa etc... and I think we have a pretty good chance of winning something with some addition in our team.

Actually Zidane did play on the left wing at Madrid forming a partnership with Carlos. I think assigning Zidane a set midfield position is silly he could play any midfield position in his prime.

It's normal when people like Adit make troll attempts, people will respond to him and he won't bother to respond because he's done his job, create a shit-storm.

No Arsenal did not lose their competitive edge. When Nasri was still an Arsenal player we were fighting for the title and were in the Carling Cup final, and if it wasn't for him being complete shit in that second-half season we could probably win the league and we wouldn't even discuss this.

It was one off-year season and we didn't fight for the title, we are showing ambition with the arriving of Podolski and the M'Vila, Vertonghen, Kagawa rumours.

i also think that nasri is shitty, and overrated. I'd pick any united winger over him these days. His form can be so inconsistent, and he can go injured for a while. I mean...he's a nice addition, and attacking outlet, but he's not something a team must have to function well. 140k or so per week is outrageous :S I'd never pay him more than 100k even if it was city.

Although, i gotta say that 20 mil is certainly a steal! for his talent. Players are inflated these days....

I agree with Nick. I also feel like arsenal have lost that edge, when it gets towards the end of the season they seem to just stop playing so intensly. When they hit a bump recently more often than not it looks as if they do settle for not being champions and a place further down looks more comfortable for them, while the differnce is the champions are usually in it till the dying moments.

I cant explain so well atm, i think nick brought up a great point IMO.

Podolski is a great great signing but not enough for me to consider arsenal competative again.

Wasn't Juventus in the same position as Arsenal if not worse? From 7th position to an invincible season, with some additions to their team.

If Juventus did it from Serie B to champions I'm sure Arsenal can do it from the 3rd position. (with some new signings obviously)

Yeah signing the likes of Podolski, M'Vila etc is not showing desperation, the improved contract or the fact that right now that we're talking - Wenger is with van Persie in his house talking about his future is not desperation
