Of those trophy's Fabregas can genuinely be happy about the FA cup.

Valdes has made less saves this entire season than Casillas has in just the league lol
Great defense built on solid possession but hyping up VV is laughable.

Almunia and Robert Green would be winning Zamoras left and right in that Barca system ffs.

Nobody hypes up Valdes, but he should get the credit he deservedly earns. He deserves more than what he gets on here, and what he gets is constant criticism as if he's dirt.

I don't think that,in the whole wide world, there's a keeper that I care less about than Valdes.I don't think anyone ever mentions him except Barca fans implying he's better than Casillas.Which kind of has a counter effect...

Re: Victor Valdés makes spanish history.
Valdes is a good keeper, last season he genuinely saved Barca's ass quite a few times. Some people say he's better than Casillas, personally I won't take those statements into consideration.
He's improved considerably.
However, he's made a couple prominent errors this season which have somewhat cost them.
Either way it's a statistical award, I've never really respected those, but at the end of the day he's a good keeper.

Re: Victor Valdés makes spanish history.
theres no way you can say the Valdes is better then Casillas, but at the same time like Kizz said hes way better then this forum makes him out to be, i mena based on some of the stuff ive read about him over time on here youd think Valdes is Ross Turnbull or something

madrid fans were wanking over ronaldive's useless record pichichi last year, i don't see why barcelona fans shouldn't appreciate valdes for tying the zamora record...
also i was under the impression that marcelo is the best lb in the world and ramos best cb in the league, how come people are saying barcelona's defence is better

There has been plenty of wanking over Messi's useless goal this season.
Also you defend as a team not individually.

Re: Victor Valdés makes spanish history.
right, so when you put together alves who is terrible at defending, busquets who is shit, pique who is awful this season, puyol who's slow, and adriano who's average you get a better outcome than the greatest lb ever marcelo, greatest cb in spain ramos, defensively fantastic arbeloa, borderline world class pepe and tactically amazing khedira

Re: Victor Valdés makes spanish history.
Alves is the best RB in the world.
Who said Busquets is shit? he is world class.
Puyol has always been world class.
And we all know Marcelo is rated for going forward.
So don't try and make it sound like everyone has said Madrid defenders crap over Barca defenders one for one.
Oh and as of now Madrid have conceded only two more goals than Barca......so yeh.

Re: Victor Valdés makes spanish history.
All people know when we say Marcelo is the best LB we mean his attacking abilities. mostly.
and yeah Ramos was one of the best CB's in the league this season. but you defend with 11 players not 1 or 2.
we are talking about 70% possession here. when you have 70% possession of the ball opponent can't come close to your goal often. and for the record in some games its 75 and 80 not 70.
Valdes is a good keeper. but comparing him to Casillas is like ( sorry Madrid fans ) comparing Ronaldo to Messi. Messi is clearly better than Ronaldo and some good records from Ronaldo will not change that. Valdes wins Zamora but Casillas wins the best GK in the world award. Ronaldo wins Pichichi but Messi wins the best in the world award.
You judge players based on performance specially in important moments not on records or stats.

Trust me I read it a lot.
At the end of the day if we are basing defense on statistics then Real have been equally good.

pretty fine actually, third place for the third time in a row is the best in club's history, plus two semis this season, with a club that constantly sells its best players... not bad
how's spending half a billion euros to win a cl but being dumped out by a team that can't beat dortmund working out for you?

Re: Victor Valdés makes spanish history.
Valdes deserves credit for this, however there are better goalkeepers than him.
Imo teams don't really create many chances vs Barca because they press and keep possession well.
Hopefully we press and keep possession better next season, however I'm not sure that'll happen under Mourinho with the counter-attacking approach.

Re: Victor Valdés makes spanish history.
Given the fact that 4 of the 5 keepers who ranked top in their respective divisions played for sides who will be playing Champions League football next season, and 3 of the previous 4 lowest performers played for teams who were either relegated or in a scrap at the bottom, Victor Valdes' inclusion in the latter cluster is perhaps the most alarming. Facing only 91 shots on target over the season, Valdes saved just 60 (66%) ranking him bottom of La Liga's keepers to appear in at least half of the league matches,
