Yepes contract extended

A.C. Milan wishes to communicate that Mario Yepes has extended his contract to 30/06/2013.

Nesta cut, Yepes remains.

This aint a time to bitch about extensions when they are necessary...Milan need to keep as much players as possible with 4 players leaving so far.

nesta didnt get cut, he wanted to leave for his reasons...

and i like yepes, hes solid

Obviously , Yepes will be the next Roma for Milan next season .

Especially if Acerbi or Astori arrive and Bonera doesn't leave.

Yepes is solid when he plays. It will be good to have him around

As long as he doesn't play the Champions League games,I don't have any problem with him staying

i heard this is a reason why nesta didnt stay, bcuz he wanted 2 yrs, but milan only offered 1

Nah Nesta made it pretty clear that he feels that he can't physically cope with the European game anymore. He had already decided in February that this would be his last year with Milan.

I have no problem with Yepes extending

As a backup, I think he is an excellent player to have.

And yeah, Nesta wasn't cut, he left for other reasons.

I'm not criticising Nesta's decision to leave. It's just that it makes our defence look so weak. I'm just worried about getting a proper replacement for Nesta.

Mexes/Yepes/Acerbi/Bonera/Astori are not adequate to fill that gap permanently.

Don't get me wrong, Yepes is solid, but he's 36!!! We have a championship winning youth team with great defenders just waiting to be given a chance in such a role. This will be a huge setback for them.
