Clearly, he's not even close to being qualified for the job. What the hell are the board thinking? I'm guessing they impulsively decided to sack Benítez, and Zidane is the temporary substitute.. but none of this makes any sense, anyway.

What do you guys think about what his players choice will be?

Will he do a galatico or bench some of them for Balance.?

Bcz let's face it. It is the biggest problem we are facing now. Too many stars and too little position to play them all.

it will be galactico because his he doesnt play the stars, it doesnt matter who he is, they will turn on him and he wont want that.

Well, I know for sure than Bale and Benzema will be starters. They are probably his favorites. CR goes without question, otherwise he will sack Zidane. Varane will be first choice alongside Carvajal. He also likes Jese so he will probably get many minutes

main reason i think zidane could do something decent, because he was carlo assistant for season, so he should know about the tactics that worked, how to deal with certain players and lastly players can't do anything to him, cause im sure he can play politics as well.

What about James? It's a good thing for Varane, how CR behaves with him it's a mystery, Zidane has the affection that Ronaldo will never have

The players will respect him because he is freaking Zinedine Zidane. At least until he is exposed for the bad tactician he is, as nick says.

don't know about James. What I know is that he likes varane, marcelo, bale, benzema and jese. 4 of them are starters already, jese will surely get more minutes. zz insisted for him to be promoted.

I see some claiming that Zidane is a bad tactician but i see too little strong supporting evidence to backup that claim. Please, if you can, provide some strong and insightful discussion/analysis regarding perceived notions of Zidane as a tactician/manager before making claims and arguably stating them as fact.

Regarding Zidane, i personally think that one of the best ways to start off as this club's manager would be to try to help make some institutional changes in the club. If a figure like Zidane is not able to produce some changes with Perez then maybe no one will, but in my eyes, if Zidane really wants to become coach of Madrid, and if he's gone through the trouble of developing his skills as a manager,  then he of all people should feel like he has the responsibility to go where no man has gone before :tears:.

He's probably experienced Perez's curse (and the hardships of football) like few others have, i hope he provides some of the ingredients, experience, and knowledge our club and team needs.

Our president and many of the players have an "attitude problem".

What can Zidane do and how will he and the club's context affect each other?

We have to wait and see( and speculate).

Here's one thing Zidane will most definitely refrain from doing: benching Florentino's Galacticos - which is one of the main reasons we're not performing.

He's Florentino's protege. He's like his son. He will literally do as our dearly beloved president says.

And he hasn't demonstrated that he's a good tactician either. I get that he's going to be just an interim coach, if rumors are to be believed of him taking over. But he hasn't done enough and doesn't have the experience to take over let alone improve us.

He did what he could while staying consistent with the club's direction... now that he's going to dictate the tactical direction, i expect things to change.

It's not going to happen overnight however and i do expect so rough patches at the beginning.

I'd wait until next season starts for a judgment on Zidane

It's back to the drawing board. Team will be more confused with new tactics and experimentation will be conducted by Zidane to get the team working

Hala, there's a big difference between benching Odegaard and benching Ronaldo or Bale. This is the major league, not third division football.

If he benches anybody who doesn't perform, I'll be satisfied. However, I doubt it, cause he's Florentino's golden boy.

He's not going to bench Ronaldo... let's be real. Everyone else is fair game though including Bale.

I'm pretty sure he won't bench Bale either. But let's wait and see, I might be wrong.

On a side note, since he was part of Carlo's CL winning side, there's a slight chance he might use the latter's tactics. After all, he must've had some influence on him.

he seem like really rated bale, i doubt he'll bench him, but somehow i got a feel he might use ronaldo to make a case.

everything flo done in this 2 years , it got atleast a bit of 'i will replace ronaldo with bale' element. this might influence in this appointing.

bale and benzema seemed to have sorted themselves out, the problem is cr if zidane coaching can give him a boost, then the attack will take care of itself like always.

The midfield is where the battle is won or lost, modric is a lock kova his sub,kroos might have to seriously face casemiro and isco with jamez the same.

James is in no win situation as long as CR is here.
