Can Falcao play with a strike partner?
I don't watch Porto or Athletico.

I just have this feeling that Man City will pay big money and will lure Falcao to City next year.

No way they will sell him for 50m, I think nothing less than 60m.

Re: Of Mattress makers and Lions - Atletico Madrid vs Athletic Bilbao
For the first time in the EL Bielsa has well and truly flopped.
-He played the much-maligned 4-3-3.
-Didn't play Javi in the midfield and opted to play him as CB sacrificing Ekiza or San Jose's position, thus leaving Iturraspe alone.
-Played a high line with Amorbieta
-Restricted Llorente's signiture False 9 role and played Susaeta as a forward alongside him on the RIGHT while De Marcos on the left. Llorente is supposed to be isolated with Iker supported him, De Marcos behind and Suseata on the left as a WINGER.
-Pushed Ander waaay to deep.
-Once again, played an all to unnecessarily high line
- Screwed up the 2nd half by removing Aurtunexte and Iturraspe for Inigo and Ibai aka his worst substitution decision this season.
-Brought in Toquero for Ander as the former was NOT needed at the time.
He is a brilliant and imo a world class manager. But how stubborn he is reflects on why Athletic have failed to succeed in the league despite the CDR and EL successes.
Nonetheless, he was brought in for a long term project and even exceeded expectations with the youngest side in the Liga. If he sticks to what works best, top 4 will be a cinch and the CDR final should be brought home.
P.S if anyone who believes this is Tiki Taka is just

If he has to play a 4-3-3 he might as well drop Ander....because it's pointless.

Bielsa failed big. He has to show some adaptability.

Finals have to be won not played.
Bilbao just couldn't take advantage of their chances. I didn't feel like there were large tactical flaws.

read the above again.
Adaptability? LOL WHAT?
Bielsa's problem is that he adapts and changes FAR to much.
His problem is that he is over-exploiting the experimentation time given to him when the system that works best is superb.
Its as if Mourinho keeps deviating from his usual formation and for instance, plays Madrid 4-4-2 with CR on the left and Ramos as DM etc etc.

What? I agree with your points. Adaptability isnt changing things up, you know. It's changing things up and SUCCEEDING.
