Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
Why is he more talented than Giovinco?Le Samourai wrote:More talented than Giovinco to further your point.
He compliments Mata well.I'm not gonna lie I'm a bit biased because he just has that natural talent you don't wanna go to waste but he needs a brain transplant.
Regardless of all that he's better than all Chelsea's wingers and the currrent PL defenders will have no idea how to deal with him.
Gio was twice the player Marin was in his youth, its too bad italian teams wont play young players otherwise i think he would of turned into a star imho, he has 'natural talent' by the truck load. Gio terrorised Chelsea in the CL with the few minuits he got too and scored a few goals along the way at his time with Juventus.
Juventus couldnt properly let him grow at the time due to many un-related factors but i can say he was more talented and Marin and probably still is, hes showing glimpses of what can be at Parma. Currently has 12 goals and 10 assists in Serie A.
I personally hope he comes back to Juve.

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
Huh? Marin was on Özils level when they were both 19,20 - he was even great in his first season at Bremen, he just went down with the ship when Bremen imploded, TBH he was always great when he had at least mediocre service from his fellow midfielders, he has just been shit since Bremen hasn't been functioning at all, I think he still made Bundesliga team of the week like 3 or 4 times this season.
He disappeared a bit from the ZOMG GERMANS ARE ALL WORLD CLASS level of hype, and he certainly hasn't entirely lived up to expectations, but he hasn't been bad either.

i followed marin the last years and he wasn'T great a longer period. Even when Werder had a run in the first half of the season, Marin played bad. So you can't blame Bremen for this.
In the NT he also never showed up.

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
I've always liked Marin, something exciting about him and his skills. Would have liked to see him in Liverpool.
But, hearing what Bundesliga followers here are saying about him, I will wait to see him play some games in Chelsea before stating that he is a good addition to their squad.

Huh? He was bloody brilliant up to the 2010 WC and never got to play again. Was close to being MOTM in our three test-matches right before the WC, and then Löw never subbed him in again, in a way that would've been beneficial to Marin.

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
The only thing I'm going to take from this is that next seasons Chelsea manager is either RDM or Roman Abramovich, and given Marin is the last player you'd play hoofball with I'm thinking is the later of the two

So you think RDM prefers hoofball over a more aesthetically pleasing style of football?

Interesting buy but at 8mil, if he flops it doesn't really matter... Not gonna say he'll be great or poor as the only way to really tell will be once he plays. Might struggle or flourish. Would love a good dribbler so hopefully he gets back to where he was

haha you PL guys are so outa-world, its 8 MILLION € , not 800€ for normal people this is a lot of money i would be pissed if we just buy random people (i dont' mean Marin) and than see if they flop or not. It's a lot of money, but if you pay 55Mil. € for Torres i understand this

It's absurd how it sounds but in this day and age it's not alot for a player so the lower the fee, the lower the risk and higher the possible reward.

He is too weak, started well but couldn't cope with being kicked. That's the problem with Marin...he is good but he is too weak

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
i wouldnt be surprised if he shocked a few people. could turn out to be a good signing, especially considering it was only 8m.
having a small stature doesnt guarantee a flop in the epl.

Being small is'nt the problem...... its the fact his brain is the size of a supermarket garden pea and the mentality of the english national team which is the problem.
He's talented yes, but he doesnt have the mental attitude or football brain to succeed.

Awww come on, he doesn't dive that much, he really gets axed an incredible lot, he has a diver's reputation, though, and almost never gets even the penalties he should get in the BL.

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
Smart buy, the least he could do is to come on as a sub in 70th minute and to destroy a PTB formation which is easy for him. Chelsea struggle in creativity imo.
8 millions for such a mini monster aren't bad. Also, he could improve his stamina in EPL vastly which is his majour weakness. Chelski are fitness freaks.

You have to excuse the man, the constant jerking motion has made his knees sore, has to be distracting.

justdoit_ wrote:Lol at the idiot earlier in the thread saying Bremen is a "useless club."
Bremen are useless, in Europe they flop badly, I like them but did you see how they messed everything up, after they did so well beginning of this season.
They sold Oezil for about €15 million and signed Mehmet Ekici €5 million, how useless can a club be.
They sold Diego for €24.5 million and never bought a real replacement.
A club with so much potentials but for some reasons they are just useless and never show up, why do you think Wiese is leaving them.
Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
Bremen of two years ago is what football is all about; loud supporters, a loyal coach who has been there since the stone age, uber-attacking football, entertaining for 90 minutes every single week.
You wouldn't know a thing about that supporting Bayern, though, so why bother.
