Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
He's been injured he only came back to training around last week, since he was on the bench Wednesday and probably be on the bench today.

I awas about to say... He was injured, wasn't he? So he's not really flopping, or being denied any playing time - he's just been injured since preseason.

He's been injured as well, but who is he going to replace even if he's fit? Pay check wise he made the right choice, career wise the wrong one.

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
He can still rotate in. IIRC he was quite impressive in preseason, I remember him not looking any worse than Hazard.
Sure, I wouldn't bench Mata for anyone, but Marin can be an excellent impact sub, or rotate in, also sometimes someone will be injured. He'll get his time. Plus, if he finally picks up his development again, that somehow stopped 2 years ago, he can be a winger not much less effective than the likes of Mata.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but I remember how great he was 2 seasons ago, I actually truly believe that Bremen playing him at the center did him a huge disservice. I will need to see him actually flop on the wings until I change my mind about Marin being a huge talent.

I rate him, too. But I'm not as optimistic about his playing time. He's apparently got Lampard, Moses and Sturridge to fight for those three spots who play behind Torres and I don't think he is even close to leading that list.

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
Well Lampard can be expected to expire from old age soon, and Sturridge is an utter waste of space, but I do still agree, he'll need a bit of luck.

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
Just stumbled upon his wiki page
He is still owned by Chelsea despite 6 different loans.
Kinda feel sorry for him tbh. Hasn't made more than 30 apps in 5 years or so combined. Do you think he regrets moving from Werder Bremen?

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
so irrelevant that ea sports can't even be bothered to downgrade him properly
no way he should be above a 72 nowadays

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix

Re: Marin to Chelsea fix
He'll probably stay if Chelsea move down to the Europa league.
He couldnt be any worse than the show FATzard or Pedro did today.
