Re: Allianz Arena
Was there about 12 times it's so beautiful espacially at night when it's shining red O.O
But be prepared for high drink+food prices. And if you want to buy something in halftime better go there in the 35th minute otherwise you will wait quite long

the tickets are kind of cheap.
Maybe the prices are just normal, 3,50€ for a beer and 4€ a hotdog. My problem is i always lose 30€ on drinks/food so for me it always seems expensive
And you can't pay with normal money, you have to load up a 'Bayern card' which you use to pay. And there is always some money left on my card and then i forget about that...good trick from them

It's a good thing we are going to model the Bernabeu after the Allianz, it's drop dead gorgeous

Re: Allianz Arena
Those prices for the beer and hotdog are cheeper than here at the SOL.
I cant remember the exact prices but its more expensive than that.
I assumed it would be quick and easy to get served there German efficiency.

Spaceship.
Good for the bank account, but I don't know about these modern arenas. No personality to them.

A local politician wanted to make a rule thats it will be forbidden in the Alianz Arena to smoke because of the kids and so on, but Hoeneß told him that this is his playground and he makes the rules.

Re: Allianz Arena
Can you do it in your seats, or do you have to go down into the concourse or designated areas.
Also are you allowed to take drinks to your seats.

yes of yourse you are allowed to smoke everywhere in the arena because it is kind of open...you can also smoke while waiting for your food/drinks
and you can also bring your drinks everywhere. Would be annoying if you have to drink away from your seat

Re: Allianz Arena
Over hear you cant take drinks to your seats, not alcohol anyway. They have to be consumed around the concourse area under the stands.
You cant smoke anywhere in the stadium either.

Re: Allianz Arena
I dont tend to bother drinking at the stadium tbh. Go into pubs around the city gradually getting closer to the stadium.
Get a burger from one of the vans outside the stadium and then head in 10 mins or so before kick off.
Its not worth the hastle going to get a drink at half time. By the time you get served the game is 10 minutes into its second half. Plus after another couple of drinks would need the toilet and thats another 10-15 minute que.
Basically under the stands there is a concrete tunnel that run around the stadium, with bars on one side like the pic below, and toilets on the other side.
It gets quite claustrophobic
