I can't believe it! That was supposed to be Britain's game. I thought they're gonna break quarters. Now their history remains in the quarters.
Did they Qualified in the Olympic finals or semis ever???

Congratulations to all the Mexicans here for winning their quarterfianl match. But i doubt they would go all the way to the finals. Perhaps, if they make it to the finals they would still not win.
I have nothing against the Mexicans btw. LOL

Yoonie you said Honduras was gonna get pummeled.. I don't think your knowledge of whats going on in the Olympics are even considered..
GB won this tourney 2-3 times iirc.

Re: Official Thread of the 2012 Olympic Football Tournament
It turned out Honduras performed well. BUt it was still a win for Brazil though! LOL
Thanks for that! GB's last qualification in the quarters is what?...1956 right? too bad they didn't make it through this year.

Honduras played the same thuggery game they played against Spain the only difference is that this ref had some balls.the penalty was bs,but most of those fouls and the red card were great calls.now i understand why mata and javi were going nuts

Re: Official Thread of the 2012 Olympic Football Tournament
You're the only person I've heard say that. Everybody and their mother knows Honduras got robbed.
Neymar up to his same ole BS. Even brazilians back home I talked too today knew Neymar left his leg out so he could faint the foul.. you kidding me?? He dragged his leg and got Crisanto sent off... The ref didn't have any balls and any sense. Oscar dove and got Roger Espinoza sent off... and Romulo should've been expelled.
Not even refs back in Brazil would call that dive a yellow for Crisanto. They know well enough that Neymar is a diver period. Unfortunately this ref was worse than Brazilian refs (thats very hard to do). Its hard to believe he refs Bundesliga games where he sees these kind of occurrences regularly and doesnt hand out yellows like he did today.
I don't already like Neymar (O Sardinhas), but I hatem even more.. whether he's on the NT or not.. I'm pretty sure noone likes him. Only teenagers... why look at that.

Team GB doesn't participate in football.. they dismantled the football team back in the 60s. The only reason they participated this year is because they're hosts.
Are you even English?? do you even watch football m8?

Gio was the best performer for Mexico up to that point. Hes sleek touches and passes led to opportunities for Mexico.

You're right he is great . There's also the fact that Tena thinks Fabian and Gio don't compliment each other with their styles and likes to put Aquino beside one of them.

we lacked concentration and mexico were a threat everytime they went forward. while i thought both mexico and japan were on level, in terms of performance, mexico were more decisive...
hope u guys give a good fight in final... gio dos santos proving his point, great stuff.. for mexico
thanks man, lets hope japan brings medal home, colour doesnt matter, they play for pride....
