OMG PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!
AC Milan ready to try again for Man City striker Tevez - armed with fresh cash
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Mon, 04/16/2012 - 08:54
AC Milan will try again for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
Corriere dello Sport says four goals in the last two games for City has reawakened Milan's interest in the
controversial Argentine.
Tevez was desperate to move to Milan in January, but City refused their offer of a loan deal.
Now, with Tevez proving his worth, Milan are prepared to splash out for the striker. A summer transfer budget of €70-80 million is expected to be approved this Friday.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I HOPE ITS TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY THE MONEY PART LOL

Re: OMG PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!
On one hand, we got this FFP looming down the road, which makes a potential summer firework by Corleone... I'm sorry, I meant the Berlusconi family make sense.
On the other hand, come on fellas, we're the veterans of such long, suffocating summers in the last few years, summers in which we would see such fantastic faces as Onyewu, Yepes, the two Uruguayan bums (Cardacio and Viudez) et al in Milanello.
This 70-80 is an exaggerated figure, but I trust we will acquire at least one big name in the summer, of course that depends on each individual's opinion of "big name".
My guess is while we will concentrate on Tevez, Balotelli is easily in the bag for a loan deal i.e. zero Euros. So in case Tevez didn't come, we'll have something to be happy about, and again, if you consider Balo a good signing that is.
In any case, a large part of our summer transfer fest will depend on the number of veterans leaving or staying, e.g. if Seedorf leaves we're gonna need to fill the hole with a worthy successor. Same for Ambrosini, Van Bommel, Gattuso, Abbiati, Zambrotta and God forbid, Sandro "The great" Nesta.
There's a golden rule in Galliani's book: For every departure, there must be an arrival.
If worse comes to worst and we lose our number 10, 23 and 4, you be cocksure that there will be three midfielders coming here for a job, the only thing that worries me is whether the replacements will be lucky bets like 900,000 Euro-man Nocerino, or an absolute flop like Flamini.
Who gives a crap if we have 0.7m or 70m? What matters is quality.
On a personal note, the following is my transfer Decalogue:
1. Keep Nesta.
2. Keep Pato.
3. Re-sign Kaka.
4. Sell Emanuelson, Bonera, Robinho.
5. Keep the rest of "I Senatori" (Old Guard).
6. Sign Ganso.
7. Kill Mesbah.
8. Keep Merkel.
9. Sign a GOOD full-back (I've given up on "EXCELLENT", let good be the roof, huh?).
10. Give 16-year-old Christian Maldini a professional contract. Rings a bell? 16?

Re: OMG PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!
If this is true, I think our priorities should be
1. Hernanes
2. New LB
3. New CB
4. Strootman
I know that will probably sum up to over 80mil but if we sell Pato, this could be achievable and we could get Tevez possibly. If we sell other players, I think that money should go towards trying to sign an upcomer like Verratti or Ogbonna (could possibly be the new CB as stated above)
But yeah, if we get a budget of even 40-50mil, Milan really should move for Hernanes. The guy was brought to this earth to play for us.

Re: OMG PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!
Giving Galliani 70 million is like giving any other club CEO 140 million. Oh and the article says that the transfer cap will be approved on Friday, but shouldn't the board wait until the season is over,to know whether we win the scudetto or not hence know whether we're going to get bonuses from sponsors or not?
I'm sure that if we do win the scudetto the transfer cap will be way higher than last year's transfer cap. That is for two reasons:
1- We reached the CL QF,which alone gives us a shitload of bonuses.
2- Last year our transfer cap was cut short due to Berlesconi's trial.
Also keep in mind this year's and last year's attendance.
This year: 754000+ 352.457= 1,106,457 fans,with 3 home games remaining.
Last year: 1024409+294286= 1,318,695.
The attendance will probably be the same, but I read somewhere earlier this season that we have increased our ticket prices. If true, this will also give us a financial push.
All in all I expect the transfer cap to be way higher than last year's,but I don't know if it will reach 70 million euros.

good to see u mate after such a long time . cheers
yea hernanes would be awesome addition to departing seedorf.
maybe hernanes can play in wide role that seedorf plays as LM. and if boateng is injured he can absolutely play as AM. guy is very good, l prefer him than ganso.

Re: OMG PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!
lets hope we have decent enough budget. im even happy milan have just 25-30 million. important thing is milan wisely spend that money. and not on one big star player because we have lot of departing or inconsistent players.
attacking department is just fine.
i would very much like armero to join us. im hoping udinese dont finish in top 3 or top 4 so that gives udinese second thought.
sandro and strootman is also my favourite players. hernanes being one of them as well.
im happy if milan buys decent players ... not just cheap a...s free agent or some average player.

Re: OMG PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!
if your getting 80 mill wouldnt it be smart to spend it on players you need and you know actually build a team and replace the ones that need replacing....
Instead of spunking a large portion of it on a emotional case?
To me you need to replace Pirlo, Seedorf, Nesta ( long term) and buy a LB.....
Get some depth with what ever you have left.....
I advise anyone to steer well clear of Tevez, quality player yes but he cant decide if he wants to play Golf or Football on a weekly basis.

Re: OMG PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE!
8 M going to Ibra's purchase, 6 M Aquillani (If), a decision to be made on Lopez, Merkel, SES I would estimate all three by 12 M.
not sure if we already paid full for Binho.
Thats 26 M already gone. But still any budget above 50 is decent enough.

thats not good isnt it lol. lopez hasnt played at all.
he is pretty good player and but i knew it was a wrong purchase because as soon as injured players are back he will be down in pecking order. i actually feel so sorry for lopez because he deserves to play more.
and we are still dying to buy forward... lol i dont get it. we need to sell someone if we want to get new FW lol.
