Re: NHL Playoffs
kings are finally living up to their expectations at beginning of the season... drew doughty being a force on both end of the ice, top two lines are not showing any signs of stopping, quick is as safe as ever... everyone is doing their job, that includes darryl sutter. keeping brown before trade deadline now looks like the best decision this club has ever made.
and to think back, if canucks didnt just GIVE them the first two games, what a series that wouldve been

ZzzzZZZZzzzZZzZZZZZzzzZZZzZzZZZZZzZZZZzzzzzz
Most uninteresting finals ever. Kings could have wrapped this up in 4, they were that dominating. Even Canadians weren't watching it this year, let alone America. Read somewhere that re-runs of Seinfeld were getting higher ratings in the US than the finals.
Still kudos to the Kings...have you ever seen a more talented team? Kopitar, Brown, Carter, Richards, Gagne, Doughty, Greene, Quick...

Re: NHL Playoffs
they're gonna fall apart in the next few years lol, no way will they be able to keep all that talent under the cap... i fully expect 3 or 4 of this year's major stars to not be there for 2014/15

Re: NHL Playoffs
Yep, but now there's increased speculation that they'll be going after Parise. I'm not sure about their UFAs and restricted free agents this summer, but if they can keep this talent while adding Parise, this will easily be the best team in NHL history.

Re: NHL Playoffs
they are already over the cap, by a little, but when quick signs a new contract that wont even be close, let alone some of their dmen, voynov martinez, chances are they wont be able to keep jarret stoll, and i wonder what they are gonna do with brown, one of their best players this playoffs, and yet he gets paid 8th best on the teams forwards.
imo its best if they could make couple small changes, but getting parise means losing some of the role players that have done a great job this year, players like nolan lewis and king.
but even if with that 1% happening..... parise richards carter.... best line in the nhl? gonna be the 2nd line for the kings? i cant even imagine......

Re: NHL Playoffs
Called it !!!
The team is young enough to put together good runs for the next 5 years.
And the owner will spend money no matter what. Owns AEG, the Galaxy, home depot center, staples center, part of the lakers.
He's won for the past 4 years 09 and 10 lakers, 11 Galaxy, 12 Kings.
Philip Anschutz best owner in all of sports hands down.
